I dont care, I dont plan on buying the vita version 6 months later it effects me in no way at all.
Unlike most babies and stuck up people in the world. Just because I paid a certain price for something I don’t feel like everyone else should have to pay the same price nor do I feel ripped off. You pay for convenience and speed.
I don’t get mad when iPhone prices and a new model comes out 8 month later. It’s to be expected…
I hate that people always feel like everyone else should have to pay or wait like they did
Yes we do agree there. But I still do not feel that the hacked characters should be allowed anywhere online, although I am inclined to not care if you use it in your own household offline. This isn’t really an argument of how bullshit it is that the characters are done on disc, its a discussion on how its bullshit hackers are getting an edge on others simply because they know how to hack. Combo videos, tutorials with the characters, thats fine with me. But the second you start taking it online where others don’t have access to them (legally yet) I say nay.
the Vita is a $249-299 before Tax…a hand held console I personally know only 2 people with…most people already own a PS3 or a 360…paying $40 for a Vita game after spending money on the system itself is still a money pit. Even though a new PS3 will still set you back $249 and a new copy of SFxTK is going to cost you $59 MSRP…now check this.
Like with Original MVC3 which I bought on launch(mid-release and everything) I paid $79.99 before tax cuz of the collectors edition, and in the end it was worth it on 2 fronts, 1 the DLC characters stayed DLC characters for about $5 a pop, and 2 because I got the game when it came out I had all that time to play it, thats roughly 6-7 months of playtime I had with the game before UMVC3 and the time is literally priceless(its meaningless and meaningful all at the same time because it varies from person to person). The same thing will happen with SFxTK. You buy it now, you get to play and enjoy the game in how it was intended to be, whether or not you buy the Collectors Edition or the DLC is completely Optional. The Vita version at its core is Optional for those who don’t own a Vita…let alone waiting about 6 months to play it…at that time they would have released the characters for consoles making it a mute point.
If its about money, then sure spend $249 for a Vita then another $40 for the game 6 months from now and tell me how you got over on me for paid $20 for the characters after buying the Collectors Edition…because I don’t see how its worth it by waiting all that time just to avoid paying $20…
you should also be aware that the Vita shares DLC with its PS3 companion right? so any Gem pack, Color pack, Alt.Costumes, or Quick Combos you had on your PS3 version goes to the Vita, and vise versa if the Vita is launched with any special DLC or Pre-order incentives…
Like I said before. Its the equivalent of me going to a tournament, using Cole and Megaman, and then winning. Then I guess all you guys need to learn how to buy a PS3 like the rest of the world right?
If you use the DLC characters or somehow get a hacked 360/ps3 into a tournament and have them, they will be banned guaranteed until universally available. Same rules apply to the DLC characters until they are officially released. So thanks for the kudos?
If you won with Megaman, I’d be surprised he looks like he sucks ass. I can certainly see why PS3 exclusive characters would be banned in tourneys. You were saying that it’s unfair that hackers have gotten experience with certain characters and then played them online against people who don’t have access to those characters. Yeah you’re correct. Obviously once those DLC characters are released though you don’t have any room to complain that they are allowed at tournaments just because you didn’t buy them right? I think console exclusive characters are bullshit in general. Luckily I don’t really care to play any of them in this particular game.
Yes correct this was the point I was trying to make. Right now those characters being available only to some (for free) is unfair and is bullshit strictly because they are getting experience and getting to use them half a year before everyone else. Once they’re out its fair game.
I was attempting to make an analogy, I failed admittedly. I was attempting to compare the PS3 exclusives, to what we can now call the “Hacked DLC exclusives” who are only available to hackers. Its the same thing. PS3 gets 5 exclusives, hackers get 12.
Bottom line, DLC characters being used right now in any type of competitive play whether online, in a tournament is bullshit. That’s my point.
Even though I don’t care what hackers do as long as they don’t affect my gameplay, I’m still really annoyed that they have access to these characters and I won’t be able to use them until 6 months and $20 later. Just release em already Capcom.
