thankyou mr shinobi. I still think Zak has the better FB, his control over FB is more impressive imo
what im looking for is a FB combo with DHC that reach 1000k damage starting with 1 bar from any confirm. I want a Firebrand/good assist+DHC kill/Ammy team. So if Vergil is the only character that allow it without TACs or XF i will play him. I have been testing options with Firebrand/Strange/Ammy but i have not been successful with the damage output, DHC synergy or with fof setups; and im not willing to play Firebrand if i cannot reach the 1000k damage point. With Thor/Strange/Ammy my damage output is over 1000k starting with any confirm and his resets are as good. So i love FB but i need a second character that works for me
Oh and i dont like the Dormammu+Ammy synergy u.u so FB/Dorm/Ammy is not an option
EDIT: I cannot find any vid with combo synergy for FB/Vergil T_T
620K. At least from the videos
I said 720k because thats full damage. This is the shorter version since i can’t record the whole thing in 10 seconds cause I didn’t have my recording devices. O:
Edit: Even when the recording stop you can still see the helper still flying, as in it can keep going longer :X. That should be proof enough.
Edit:
Also UnSaxon that video is the short version, The combo is much longer. That was an example so people can see its possible. If you want me to record the full blown one. I gotta connect stuff not connected right now :X
hey a
hey after you do lvl 3, you just do fireball rinse and repeat till the helper leaves? sorry I just got the game and picked up fire brand around 2 days ago and really don’t know much about him lol.
You do it just before he leaves…it’s usually around 25 shots between you and him before he leaves. so Try to do it on the 23rd shot to get another super in some combo extender.
Anyone ever try anything with FB/Trish? Been floating around the idea of using both characters so I’m curious if they have anything together.
I think Demon Missile unblockable works with Round Harvest.
Viewtifulbrand. This shit is stupid.
Unlike other team setups Firebrand is doing the raw damage. Slowed opponents actually give firebrand stylish combo opportunities and I can reach around 450k meterless.

What’s terrible is that we consider 450k “raw damage” in Firebrand terms. Still, I’m always interested in ways to improve our resident gargoyle.
Firebrand requires a lot from his teammates, but rarely does he give the same amount back. He’s kind of the selfish asshole of team composition.
Indeed it does.
I have a video with stalker flame that uses same idea. Shouldnt be hard to find
How does Firebrand/Sentinel/Ammy sound? Felt like using this team someday.
You get godlike okizeme options from drones, and easy unblockables from Ammy.
Are there any AA assists that give Firebrand unblockables? I think he probably has, in theory, one of the best GTFO assists in the game (swoop). I’ve been looking for a good GTFO for Arthur, which FB somehow fills, but I’m not sure if FB with an AA assist is worth it or if I would be better off getting a better, more damaging character that provides an AA assist to exploit FB’s assist. I know Firebrand isn’t a good anchor, but his assist plus XF3LB shenanigans are worth something, right?
He gets pretty easy unblockables off Jam Session as well as Repulsor Blast.
Swoop is… OK. It would be better with armor or some kind of special feature to it. Certainly not better than Lariat, AA Gamma Charge, or Tatsu, though.
In a sense, you could (almost) compare anchor Firebrand to anchor Strider. X-Factor temporarily fixes his damage, cranks his speed and mixups to all new levels of crazy, and, if combined with Level 3, he is very VERY difficult to get away from. However, the key word in all of that is “temporarily”. Once XFactor runs out, Firebrand becomes a pretty terrible anchor character, especially if the opponent has more than one character left. Plus, unlike Strider, Firebrand doesn’t have a Top 10 assist to justify putting him in the back.
I won’t say he’s completely useless, but anchor more than any other spot showcases Firebrand’s problems. If you’re going to use him, make the most of it.
Swoop seems good because Firebrand takes a leap back before he swoops in, effectively covering both sides of your point and countering low spam from many characters. Basically, “anti-teleport derp” assist. I run Arthur, so I REALLY need a assist that counters teleports. Lariat does nothing to stop teleport lows from characters like Vergil and Wesker, and GC or Tatsu does not hit behind at all. It’s probably more of a niche GTFO for characters that really need one (Arthur, Strange) than for general play.
Oh well, I plan to actually test this tomorrow. If it is as good as it seems, I may very well run anchor Firebrand. (My bones shudder at the very thought!)
From my experience, Swoop is better for characters that are either giants like Sentinel or Midgets like Amaterasu.
Swoop is like an extra, high priority limb for the bigs and an AA for the midgets. Characters who are of midsize don’t gain much from it.
I’ve been trying to get jam session to work for firebrand but I’m only able to get unblockables with it if they choose to block dante, if they get hit I cant really confirm the hit into anything since last hit of jam causes the character to go high into the air, only way I’ve been able to do it consistenly is using xfactor.
Have you tried M fireball to connect with opponent after they get out of histun from jam session? You may be able to squeeze an unblockable setup in there assuming they don’t tech forward (seems to give me the most trouble with setups).
