I have a problem with izuna drops.
I can do the TK izuna in training mode fine but it pretty much never comes up in a mtach so i dont get to practice it that much.
I pretty much never use it even though I know it should work well most of the time.
Is there any matchups where it will definitely be useful, not just against jump-ins?
ive used it couple times and had it beaten clean by a jumpin normal… im talking like the guy leg was inside my body, saw Guy flash for the ex, and still got hit… not happy w/ this move at the moment.
Yeah I’ve had that problem sometimes too.
Don’t know if this might help but, the lp izuna has a lower hit box than the ex one so maybe if they are lower than you in the air it would be better to use that instead?
I found something weird today.
If you jump straight up, then izuna just before you land, you stop for a second in the air.
I don’t know if theres any use for it, maybe to catch really low airbourne moves or backdashes.
It catches backdashes since no one is going to do an overhead as a get up move.
But catching SRKS is the best feeling ever…
This is probably old news, but according to the Japanese wiki, the hitbox of the Bushin Kaiten Izuna Otoshi (aerial qcf+P) depends on the button used, as per the following table:
qcf+Jab = below Guy
qcf+Strong = in front of Guy
qcf+Fierce = above Guy

I caught a shoryuken with guiles air throw earlier, didn’t know that worked, thought guy was the only one who could do that.
Guy’s pressure game…sucks. Once people figure out the trick to Bushin Flip then Guy basically needs to play footsies and land a sweep to start some offense. All of Guy’s “Pressure” is an illusion and if your opponent knows this you can not really pressure them.
Speaking of pressure anyone know a good throw bait set ups? Mine are meaah at best so I was wondering if there is something I missed. Maybe he has a really good one and I don’t know. Also to make it clear I mean off of c. LP.

I don’t know if people use this but when I play againts primarily charge characters (Especially Bison who relies on charge attacks on wake up) I try to score a untechable knockdown. Upon their landing I do Bushin Run + HK over their body. If I time it right they lose their back/forward charge limiting their wake up options and allowing me to continue the pressure.
Seriously it drives them crazy. I literally did this on a Bison player the whole match. My only caution to you is to make sure you time the HK over them so that it does not auto correct, if you jab or meaty at that time or way too slow for you to recover, you may get reversaled. It’s not something to do all the time because obviously they will wise up (Maybe) but you can add this to your mix up game againts charage characters like bison that like to PC or SK you on wake up. Nothing you can do about the verticle charge though but at least you know thats all they can do and try to bait it, maybe counter with an izuna drop

Believe so but, sure enough I don’t think you’ll have enough time to do Run/slide to catch it. Always there a plenty of options to do against Bison. Mainly teleport is best to OS’d with Run/Slide if he doesn’t have meter, if he has meter then MK Tatsu as it will beat EX Psycho, I’m not sure if for EX Scissors though.
Is there anything guy can do after TC->Run/stop to counter hit Shoto C.mk?? … that shit has so much range and even Bushin flip cant hit it…
Unfortunately, no. TC xx Run > Stop is -2 on block. Ryu and Akuma’s low forwards both hit on the 5th frame, and Ken’s low forward hits on the 4th frame. You can try an EX BSK after the Run > Stop, but it comes with the risk of possibly whiffing.
^^ That is just so dumb… Man i hope that LP.Houzanto being 0 or +1 on block buff is true… Shoto matchup is just retarded I just get C.mk out of any pressure i try…

Cancel TC into MP hozanto. There’s enough gap so that they can get hit. Use more frame traps too if you keep getting hit during strings. If you keep getting hit by c.mk during pressure then there’s a serious hole in your game.
