Guys help me write an article for the front page

Yeah, so over a year ago Mr. Wiz started a thread where he asked for writing samples for people to submit to the front page, cus he wanted it more regularly updated. (I know I personally barely ever go to the front page, I always type srk.com/forums…)

Anyways, I submitted a sample of my writing which was basically a preview of Super Puzzle Fighter HD Remix (THAT is how long ago this all started :confused:) and eventually like a month ago Wiz emailed me asking me if I want to still write for the front page, and now I have an account.

I want to write an article, but I am not sure what to write yet. Keits is doing a great job so far. I am considering an HD Remix online community summary of some kind, but am not quite sure of the focus yet. Or maybe an article describing the long debacle of versions of ST differences or something and if HD can unify all the communities (hella doubtful, some of you may have heard of Japan before).

Or, there is also the possibility for interviews, in which case I’d like to ask our own Mr. Beastley some questions, seeing as how he has been at various times the #1 ranked HD Remix player in the world. :wink:

So feel free to kick me suggestions on what you would like to hear/see on the main page, help me out! :tup:

Here are some random ideas:

  • How SFIV/HD remix are bringing together different fighting game communities from Marvel, CvS2, Soul Calibur, etc. etc…

  • What has Seattle been up to since our breif moment in the spotlight for Marvel

  • Shit an article about the different scenes in general (Nor/So Cal, Seattle/PDX/NW,

  • Interview wise, what’s up with a segment called “Get to know a Player better” (Yes it’s jacked from the negro thread)

  • History of the B series/EVO, or a list of the different majors around the country.

That’s all I can think of right now.

I want to write an article describing just how gross Beasley can get in ST. Anyone see his Blanka last friday? Fucking gross.

This is a great idea because I am not sure they would allow me to be overly critical of HD on the front page (some of these bugs are just NOT fucking acceptible to me as a former bug tester), but I am not sure how to point that out other than just SAYING that’s the case…can you guys name players or link me to any posts with crossovers?

Kinda cool but I am not educated enough about my Seattle marvel history, and I’m not sure what we’d write…

This is a good idea but I don’t want to compare scenes too much, I don’t live in Portland or know who is friends with who, and I dunno shit about CA at all.

I definitely want to interview some of our prominent and/or funny players in the scene, but right now Keits has like two interviews on the main page, so it’ll have to wait a bit.

Great ideas, any more? I’m thinking a remix one would be best right now, so if you guys have any remix related ideas drop em like they’re hot.

I’d probably expand on it and just make it a view of the Seattle fighting scene in general from your perspective. Not just Marvel, since it seems that we’ve all kind of moved away from it.
