Ugh, this hashtag is ruining my day. lol. Its just so bad, and so dumb. I had to do it. I had to torture myself. lol
Yes, because there is no complexity to the oppression of female education in developing countries at all. Lets just forget that its the taliban, or religious nuts in some cases holding the women in those countries back. Its not simply these nice, male, atheist who are oppressing these women because theyre women.
Never been groped, and id imagine that if that was anywhere other then a club or bar setting (not saying that makes it acceptable, but context is everything), someone needs to get fired. Ive been bullied and verbally abused by men and women, especially verbally abused by women, and yeah, it does seem SO normal to deal with a female who is going to act like that at this point in life. How sad is that. You dont see me hating men for the bullying or verbal abuse, or hating the plethora of women that have just acted like complete shit heads over the years.
What if every man who was raped snapped? Oh wait, you probably dont believe men get raped and molested too, nor do you have any sympathy for how embarrassed and distraught those boys/men are because society will immediately label them as weak or gay for “allowing” yourself to get molested or raped, because men should just always be able to avoid those situations.
Hyperbole
When is the last time any rational person has ever said that, and who are these authority figures you are referring to. Not to mention, a lot of these boys who may be in school telling girls they have a fat ass, or cat calling in the hallway are not raised properly, and many of them come from fatherless homes. Men dont just come out of the womb ready to disrespect women, its a learned behavior. Have some sympathy, maybe some of these men just need a little guidance, rather then to be demonized.
Learning how to avoid predators should be something you do learn, and here is that generalizing again. BOYS are not rapist. MEN are not rapist. RAPIST ARE RAPIST, and you cannot teach them not to rape if thats what they want to do. But what you can do is learn how to protect yourself from predators, and while you learn that, learn not to generalize a gender as a bunch of fucking rapist.
This is actually a good one. She doesnt generalize men at all, and its a legit question. I respect this tweet.
Wut
Clearly any person who does that is not mentally all there. Boo fucking hoo, some anonymous person might threaten you on the internet. When the freedom bus was rolling through the south, do you think they didnt endure any violence or hate speech. When those young black men and women went to unsegregated schools in the south, you think they didnt endure violence or hate speech. My fucking aunts got attacked by white males for no reason other then being black when coming home from school. They had to fight men at times just to get a fucking education. Trust me, dealing with anonymous threats via the internet, likely from trolls not even in this country, is a laughable endure to people who have actually had to deal with some real shit when fighting for something better.
But some are, maybe he was just asking so he could ease up on bothering you too much. lol. Women be acting like they have never been cranky and emotional to men while on their period, and we just out of nowhere made up this link between how you are acting, and being on your period. Yeah, sure we did. I never ask a woman that if shes being cranky or emotional. I refuse to excuse any bad behavior, regardless of your period. Just sayin.
Though I can see where you’re coming from, the bystander effect is very powerful. People are likely to stay out of conflict to save their own skins, and certain situations can turn drastic real quick. You’d be surprised (or not) by how quickly a casualty can arise from just opening your mouth, standing up for that victim, or even looking at someone the wrong way.
But seriously someone please go walk up to some strangers that are fighting or whatever like in one of those domestic violence psa(which are hilarious btw) and see if your ass don’t get that Stand your ground on your ass.
We are all adults and responsible for ourselves. The fact that I share the same genitals as a murderer does not by extension make me accountable nor responsible for his action. It also isn’t my duty nor my obligation to curtail the behaviours of those around me like some enforcer. What right and privilege does someone have in telling me that because I don’t actively go out of my way to stop every rape or act of injustice I’m just as bad as the criminals themselves.
On that note it isn’t exactly like we all have the same qualifiers for shithead behaviour. Going through the YesAllWomen hashtag it seems like a lot of the women there consider watching porn, going to strip clubs or checking out women all serious offences yet I don’t. This then prompts the question of exactly what metric are we gauging shithead behaviour and who gets to decide…are women the ones who get to dictate the terms of what men can do or say to avoid labels of misogyny and sexism.
How curious that a movement that is supposedly concerned with bringing social awareness is becoming less about actual discussion and more about prejudicial profiling and boarder line hate speech. As a example replace "men"with "blacks"and let’s see how"productive"this hashtag and the tweets become.
I bet if Lord Raptor was in a diner with Spilled my coffee guy, his frail ass wouldn’t do shit but continue to try and make pony shapes with his scramble eggs.
