Gundam vs. Gundam next +

they didnt air the last ep (the “lost” ep) because it was mainly about Zeon drafting child soldiers. Cartoon Network didnt want to promote that which is why they ended it with shiro being MIA

i dont think it would’ve been that way since the voice acting was horrible

i agree with this. i loved the japanese version so much. but the english voice acting is top notch. definitely worth another watch imo.

i have faith that it will come back. mainly because of how good OO has been. they released dynasty warriors gundam 2 which is (imo) a step in the right direction.

scyfy/bandai just needs to step up in promoting it more here.

i really do have faith that the gundam franchise will make a come back here, they’ve been doing everything right so far, they just need to be a little bit more aggressive.

new famitsu cover has gundam vs gundam next plus. no details yet.
credit goes to duckroll from neogaf.

What I mean is that the game is built to be played competitively as 2v2. A battle royale mode would be kind of interesting but I don’t think it’d be quite as interesting. 2v2 really changes the dynamic of the game and is why it’s been a staple of the series for ages even if your partner is an AI.

It’d be nice to have the mode but I wouldn’t say I wanted it if they game didn’t have it.

Edit: Confirmed for PSP

Stupid fucking Bandai! Well I’ll still get it.

I know! Stupid fucking Bandai >=(

Could’ve been so awesome to have it on the PS3.

First Naruto Accel 3 and now Gundam (again)? damn it Bamco do I need a psp that much!?

This seriously pisses me off, why couldn’t they make this on the PS3 with online play!

WTFFFFFFFFFFF

goddammit i need a PSP

what a dumbass deicision to make it psp only… psp popularity is really that buff in japan? this would’ve been so much better suited on ps3 imo.

Handhelds as whole are wildly popular in Japan - when Japanese console sales numbers are released each week, DS and PSP have typically been in the top two spots. Additionally, 90% of Jap developers could give a damn what non-Japanese think are better platforms - doubly so since this is Gundam (practically it’s own religion in Japan) we’re talking about.

Hardly a “dumb” decision when most of the market that will definitely eat it up (and the only market most Japanese devs care about) owns some sort of handheld.

Called it

Wing Zero Custom and Nataku are in as well

Great responses CyberAkuma and Tanabe! I don’t have much to add. Except I did misspell ScyFy, It’s called Syfy now… Uh that’s gonna take a while to get used to… :wasted:

PSP… huh… Maybe that will help its chances coming over if they jump on the DL game trend that Fate/Unlimited did, especially with the PSP Go coming soon. I guess I better start playing Gundam vs. Zeta with a pad to get used to it…

so… reborn (ribbons?) gundam and OO-raiser?

yes please :lovin:

Man… PSP are you serious its better than nothing.

I really wanted a PSN release. Eh, maybe if Namco ever decide to move from the PS2-based board, which is unlikely. Still v disappointing though, since I would have loved to get some multiplayer going on this.

technically with ad-hoc party you can do that…

AdHoc Party is difficult for me in my current situation, sadly. Or even impossible, I dunno.

Got my PSP ready for this. Damn, so glad I got this.

Well, it’s a bit disappointing, but hey, it is is what it is. We’ll likely have to wait for a Gundam vs. game ACTUALLY built on something beyond PS2-grade hardware, before we’ll likely see the game series actually take that much of a step forward graphically.

That said…it DOES look nice, from what can be seen.

I guess I’ll be the odd man that would have desired “Wing Gundam ver. Ka” over Zero Custom again. 8D

EDIT: …Even in light of this, the likes of reputable sites like Super Robot Wars Genesis still says that the GameWAVE PS3 thing is correct. We just don’t know exactly what the version of the game will entail. Like say if it will be just a straight port, or as much of an upgrade over the original game, like its “little brother”.

The plot continues to thicken…come out with the truth, Bamco!
