Don’t know why I would install a cthulhu in a stick thats already for the ps3. Unless you mean installing the MC. In which case if its a TE/SE I leave the pcb in place. If its in a stick where the ps3 pcb isn’t part of some type of panel then I’ll just take it out and ship it back with the modded stick.
sorry for not being clear, yes the MC Cthulhu. i was trying to find out if people were tossing their old ps3 pcbs out of te/se’s.

Just an update, my dual mode plus RJ45 has been used for many sessions now, I’ve probably logged a good 12 hours it on all sorts of games ha ha, and been beating the crap out of it and no issues
Ill be leaving friday to be up there for stroggs party. Not sure what time ill be at c3, but I’ll be there all day.

Not a chance. The old led mod was a pain to do and isn’t as nearly effective as using the arc-eye led boards. Plus I can do cooler led effects with the arc-eye boards. I am offering the $20 discount if combined with a dual mod though.
well i don’t need a dual mod so i guess ill have to learn how to do this myself since i only need them to light up when pressed -_-;

Finished MightyMackinac’s stick. Its a 360 system shell dual wireless modded for ps3 and 360. Buttons and ball top are led modded. There are two switches installed. One to switch between ps3/off/360 and another one to turn on/off the leds.

i have a couple of questions… (I probably will do something in June (stuck working out of the country til the end of May)) but have been really thinking about doing a dual mod for my PS3 TE stick.
with this mod
PS3->360 + Mc cthulhu + imp + rj45 mod + detachable cords: $175
I’m not really familiar with the dual mod stuff and was wondering how this would work? does this setup auto detect whatever system i connect it to? ps3 or xbox360? and when i use it for the other systems with the other cables, do i have to hit a switch before using it on another system?
also, by doing this mod, will it make it impossible for me to modify the art on the stick in the future?
I saw a video on youtube, and the person said that the Turbo Function is lost, just wanted to confirm that.
what’s the turnaround time usually? i’ll be sending out of NY to VA. probably 2-3 day ground UPS. I know i have to pay to send, do i have to pay the return postage as well or is that included in the price of the mods.

This mod will come with three detachable cords; usb, ps2, and gc. The usb would be used for ps3 and 360 and would require holding down a button before plugging in to switch to 360. All the other systems you just plug the cord in and you’re set.
This mod would not affect the top panel so you can change the artwork.
The turbo function would still work on ps3. It would not work on everything else. Also note that I remove the select button and place the rj45 jack in its place. I then map the select button to the turbo button.
In most cases if I’m in stock of the boards then I will be able to finish the stick the day I receive it and shipped out the next day. If I’m not in stock then prepaying when you ship you stick helps as I can make an order for new boards. I’d receive the boards around the same time I would receive the stick so there would be no delay for the mod. You must cover all shipping costs including return shipping.
