Wow, everything that I had read previously on the game indicated that Ky had somehow managed to get downgraded even more. So is that not true?

I just remember hearing that his Stun Dipper moved even less far forward now, which limited its combo abilities even more. Aside from that I really hadn’t heard much on him other than general comments about him being worse. I guess my sources were a little off.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The move will no longer be functional as a capper (usually from a 5H) for some long range combos, but Stun Dipper was never a safe special in the first place. If anything, the mobility made the move very punishable if the player did not use proper spacing.
This is funny cause when I went to Evo 2 years ago, there was an obvious rift between GG players and SF players. SF players were a little more to date style wise, seemed like a more entertaining crowd in general, I remeber some random guy and I were talking about what we were playing and I told him I play’d GG(primarily SF) as we looked over to thier corner we see a like 15 Goofy lookin anime nerds, and he was like you really play that? And I was like I guess.:tup:
To me, Faust seems about the same to me, except doing Going My Way in the air is 99% safe now. Faust’s damage is about the same, he lost linked combos off of scalpel pull (unless it’s FRCed now), has new items, useless super is upgraded slightly, and he got a new pogo move and two old pogo moves were made better. Everything else about Faust remains the same.
The only reason Faust seems so “beastly” (at least when you watched a-cho) is because he beat P.C playing a crippled Sol. The game just came out… and Sol, as a character, hasn’t yet adjusted to the new combos and/or tricks at his disposal because of the lost of dust loop. Faust’s game, on the other hand, hasn’t changed that much. If you watched closely, R.F played Faust the same way he’s always played him. No new tricks or combos. I’m not saying that Faust isn’t good, because he’s a damn solid character, but he doesn’t seem as beastly as people are making him out to be.
It almost seems like everyone is like “omg R.F beat P.C; faust iz teh beastzor”. @_@
That’s a good point, Sol has definitely changed a lot. I’ve been playing Sol since XX came out, and I think it’s going to be interesting to see how (or if) Sol players adjust to the changes in XX/. As of right now, I’m still debating whether or not I want to switch characters, both because Sol got knocked down and because I’ve been thinking that Holy Order Sol is looking badass ever since I first saw the videos of him, even though he may have been pretty damn hard to see in those low quality videos. I guess I won’t really know until I finally get to play XX/.

Ky’s new move (Aerial C. Stun Edge) is to have 2 FRC points (startup and landing.)
Is this true?? Ky’s 2HS doesn’t have a pull in effect anymore…no more VT ground combos…

Yes, ACSE has 2 FRC points, and pull back effect is still present in 2HS, BUT HS VT got massive recovery time upon landing so vt loops are pretty much impossible without RCing.
