How long was #Reload in beta testing anyways? Slash took up a whole summer.
If I remember correctly, the fact that it took around a week or two to find the crazy broken stuff in #Reload red, then a petition was made and ARC listened, they got #Reload blue within the month.
And the console release came around 4-5 months afterwards.
It barely got ANY betatesting, which is why it was found broken so quickly. Compared to XX, where the game was betatested about as much as Slash was.
Thanks for the info kenmastersX, now here’s hoping that a console release will be here at least in that time frame. Was getting kinda worried for a second there.
I remember reading somewhere that the GG Slash that come out for arcade was the final/official release.
And yeah, Slash took a quiet a while to beta test and in the end it seemed worth it (I think).
On another note: Kenmaster, why did you give me your phone # when you leave like… very far away from me?
And yet, still no release date on this game.
I’m getting scared, I want it now!!!
Me too. Oh boy, I hope it comes out soon.
After that Dog Bite -> f.HS bullshit I saw, I’d sorta like a blue version.

Are you talking about the corner trap? That’s been in for a long time, its one of the reasons to fear the dog. If not im definately curious as to what you mean.
rank.x0.com/movie.html First vid. Zappa vs May
Probably. Dog sits in corner and bites as the player is getting up, Zappa does 6HS. I don’t recall seeing that happen in #R, although I suppose it’s possible. If they were trying to nerf the dog, I don’t see why they’d leave that in.

It’s been in the game since XX, actually.
In XX, it was the gayest thing ever, because you did 6HS as a meaty (blocked) -> dog bite, which is unblockable… and you couldn’t tech it. In #R they changed dog’s bite to be techable in mid-air because of that. Then you had to do bite -> 6HS, which was backdashable.
In Slash it looks exactly the same as #R… so probably just backdash / throw off their timing.
Good to know, I’ve never played against a Zappa that does that. The way that the Zappa player got that off twice like it was nothing had me a bit concerned.

They should’ve changed the unblockable bit where it has delay after it is done (like how 4D, D is now in Slash, when the dog turns small and back to being big).
#R is out of stock… maybe there planning on getting Slash on stock for console?
I dunno :looney:
Saving 3,000$ for worst-case scenario.
This was used by one of the Zappa players in the SBO vids. He aimed it meaty or aimed it to completely whiff to throw off the opponents backdash as well (you backdash on dog whiff = you get hit with Late 6HS for a knockdown anyway)
It’s pretty nasty and can end a round REALLY fast.
Yeah, it’s one of the few advantages Zappa has going for him in a match. Really, Zappa is the only character with that + multiple real infinites in #R, due to no dog pushback. You could do on a crouching opponent (run up s.P -> c.K -> s.D x n), but it’s so insanely hard that it’s not worth doing after too many reps. Not to mention the IAD infinite against Potemkin… (IAD j.p -> j.k -> j.s -> s.D x n)
I think Zappa really needed something like this, because otherwise he’s kinda … well, shitty.

I hope it’s released here, I really do. I don’t want another repeat of the tears I shed when VF4: Final Tuned never made it’s way to console/N.A.
Damn…
It said Sega will release it in Spring…
I so hope its before Showdown 6
