My 20gb seems to run it fine so far, but i’ve only played it for 20 min segments so far, OMG “overheating”?? from Guilty gear? I don’t want to buy my 4th ps2 seriously, i thought i’d be done with ps2 when i got ps3… Yea, mod chipp doesn’t kill your ps2, MY ASSSS…
Ive just been debating getting a used PS3 or a new/used PS2. I know Ill get a PS3 for BB, but I still want to play GG with no problems, along with some Shadow of the Colossus with some progressive scan.
AC only gives me problems on my PS3 if I let it load up data from a memory card before getting to the Arcs screen.
A bunch of EBs in Canada receive this today.
I played reload and slash, but there are just too many versions of this game. I will wait for GG to go HD and then buy it for PS3/360. Anybody heard anything about the next version of GG?

Oh I see. So I just have to restart the PS3 multiple times to get it to work. I thought it was just incompatible period. Thanks for the info

The point is there has been no news of a new GG. Nothing. Its been 2 years and we still know nothing. So get accent core and be happy. 
Doesn’t Sega own the rights to GG now? That might affect some developing issues but I feel we’ll never see another new GG, especially if BB does well. If it doesnt succeed quite as suspected, at most I see at least one more revision of BB and maybe even pull a stunt of throwing Sol in there Garou Terry style.
AC will definitely still get play even after console BB drops. It’s that good of a game. Knowing this will only make Arc Sys want to stealth change BB to become closer to GG gameplay mechanic wise if it proves that it can’t very well stand on it’s own two.

the whole issue is rather foggy. arc systems has only given short answers on that subject without any sort explanation.
the basic internet theory goes that arc systems still has the rights to the actual characters and storylines (hence why they can license out Dizzy for Queen’s Blade), but some sort of legal complications mean that Sammy (who is still in charge since THEY bought Sega, not the other way around) still has publishing rights for future FIGHTING games.
so basically, both parties need to come together to make a new GG game for anything to happen.
its all guesswork, but its the most plausible explanation i’ve heard. even the aksys guys on their podcasts (i think the one right after that interview) said they’re in the dark on this too, which could be can an indicator that there still ongoing legal issues being sorted out by lawyers in japan.
Well I kinda collect fighting games. I have the Japanese version of AC+ on my PS2 already. And I got the regular version of AC for the Wii last year for my birthday. I do plan on getting a Wii Stick or getting 2 good controller converters for my Wii.
