Nope. Your name just popped up and I was confused, considering you said you didn’t have an Xbox anymore, so I went to check and “you” were offline by then.
Seriously. The update is obviously done. It’s BEEN done for at LEAST how long it’s been on the Vita version. What the fuck is up with them lately?
-Fucking up the NA release date for Chronophantasma
-Shutting out the entire 360 community for Xrd AND CP
-Promising a imminent release of an update for a game which was ALREADY long overdue at that point, on multiple occasions
Just this shit with Guilty Gear alone is pissing me off. I seriously see no reasoning behind some of the stuff they’ve been doing recently.
A) There could be a lot of shit that keeps it from being released simultaneously
B) It has been proved time after time that there is no real market for their games on 360, from a business point of view is better to not release a game on a console where the cost of doing the game is bigger than the profit from the sales.
C) Same as A, there could be a lot of shit preventing them to release the patch as planned, from them to sony and microsoft
I am not saying that you can’t be mad, i am mad that we still don’t have GGAC+R as well, but i also know that there are a lot of shit that can prevent a company to get everything right even when they try to.
All of this problems wold be mitigated if they were a little more open with their fans about some of the problems.
Edit
Also fuck microshit and all of the owners of a 360, i hope you get a RROD and that your XBL accounts gets banned
He’s probably talking about how +R is a free update. But he’s assuming all of the people who were going to play +R already had AC at that point. Which means Arc Sys isn’t getting anything from these people they didn’t already have. But as a counter point, I have noticed a ton of ppl online that weren’t playing before, and who are actually good but I guess never decided to get AC+ vanilla, and waited till the +R update to come out before buying AC.
No, he’s talking about the lack of CP and Xrd on 360. I just wanna see a link to back this up. Specifically, a link that shows the cost of porting a PS3 or arcade game to 360, so I can see what their profit margin is.
I don’t know exactly where to find a link but it’s no secret that the 360 doesn’t sell much at all in Japan, and from what I’ve heard, arcsys’s games haven’t done spectacular on the 360 since CT.
I don’t doubt that at all. But I’m still interested in the actual cost of porting the game to 360. And I know they are a Japanese developer, but NA and Europe sales matter too.
I’m sure they would make a chunk of cash on X1 releases. The console will only have KI for a while(from what I can tell). And it’s not like the development processes for their games are to different, they use Windows on their arcade machines. I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing they use Windows solely for Direct X(because I can’t see any other reason to use it).
It’s a lot cheaper to make 360 games thou, so saying stuff like:
is silly if you don’t actually know the numbers, which I doubt are public knowledge. If arcsys was losing money on their 360 ports, they wouldn’t still be releasing them.
I figure for 360, it’s not worth the time and effort due to sales, and for xbox 1, they’re likely doing a pre-emptive safety measures thing in case the xbox 1 doesn’t do great (which honestly, even with all the make up stuff they’ve done, it still not looking that great). I’m still not convinced that it will solely be a ps4 next gen release honestly.
