How are you guys dealing with lag? You get a good connection and just keep playing until you get used to it?
I set up player matches for area and connection so I try and get as good connections as possible. And yeah, just try and get used to it. If there’s too much delay that I can’t hit my tatami FRC, which is really easy, then I don’t bother.
As a rule of thumb, I go by two things:
- Is there a noticeable delay from when I press forward to when my character moves?
- If not, is there any noticeable sluggishness or choppiness in the match (like constant lag spikes)?
Pretty much if it’s smooth enough for me to FRC, I’m fine with it.
If there’s a noticeable delay when I’m on the character select screen, then I know it’s not going to be good.
If I’m winning it’s a good connection, if I’m losing it’s a bad connection.
I just played 9 matches in player match with some random. Went 8-1 against him then I left to go make some lunch. I get back and I see 4 invites from him and 2 messages. Dude was pissed. “REMATCH!!!” “DONT BE A PUSSY!”

can’t seem to replicate it…looks like Miyako is airdash cancelling the j2S or double jump cancelling to airdash but I don’t know how.
Don’t know what’s going there. He jumped and stuck out 2S, then airdashed into, what is that jump HS? but then stucks out something else and airdash cancels again? I didn’t think there could be another jump stored to airdash again.
If you do j.2S ASAP after an air dash, you have enough time to airdash again before landing. So it’s just Jump>66>j.2S>66>j.2S
edit: I think I’m wrong, let me go try it out.
edit2: Nope, its just airdashing after a j.2S.
Yeah that seems to be it, but the timing is pretty tight.
Sups guys, I got some credit for Xmas and was thinking of purchasing this game. I’ve been hearing bad things of the netcode, is the online as seriously bad as King of Fighters?? I will only be playing online pretty much.
