This might be obvious, but if you turn on input display, the display bar flashes during FRC frames.
It can also help to time your FRC off the release of the button, rather than on the press of the button.
I often will figure it out eventually by the rhythmic pattern, so hearing the button clack is more important in the long run than the flow of my fingers. Thanks for the suggestion though - This is the method I used to learn the Rom infinite, Sentinel’s fast fly combos, and all the misc. 1-frame shit I can do in MvC2.
Yeap… Wasn’t helping with this one. Helped a lot with the dubious curve FRC though. This one, I can’t figure out quite where they align.
The S one at least seems to be right as the stick and the ball make contact.

I say the release, because the move can be charged/delayed, which would change the timing of the FRC, if your reference point was the button press.

Ah, that explains it. I wanted to keep playing, but the fact that I couldn’t FRC and normal things like following up a combo after a corner grab were becoming increasingly difficult for me.
