@Sym_ Maybe play some tonight? My bads… I’m never online.
I wish I could have time to practice enough to get my Venom to be half of that… smh.

Ky, holy shit. I’m being pressured for days.
I need to level up my footsies.
Any word on the better OS players in Japan these days? Everytime i see one pop-up on Mikado/A-Cho they get destroyed
Inoue/Kazunoko is probably the best source now for OS. Kaqn was a really good one back in the day but I think he stopped playing. KZO is pretty beast too with a more unique playstyle.
I’ll look into KZO. Inoue seems to rarely play, and be more focused with the Capcom games as of late
has anyone done any input lag testing on xbox/ps3? I’ve been training by blocking random cpu dusts but those blocks often never occur in time, even if I hear the JLF click going from 1 to 4 (I have an evo monitor) and pick the most obvious dusts (eg raoh 5d). human perception is pretty unreliable so I can accept my reaction time being objectively bad but I’d like to have an accurate measurement basis at least
e.g. does guilty suffer from the same minimum 4f delay that certain other xbox games have or is it 1f? tangentially I’m also curious if the 360’s rendering pipeline is designed in such a way that minimum input lag is 4f or if it’s on a game-by-game basis. I’d expect the latter but…
also random, but there used to be this tool-assisted ‘outstanding combo’ series on youtube which disappeared. would anyone know if those videos are on nico?
I need to level up my Sol/Order-Sol. Online is finicky. Like just under almost reliable enough. Haven’t been active in this game since 07…
I think I’ll pick up Testament as well.
Alright, I’m done playing this online until the +R update. Ugh, I thought this would be the last thing I’d say about playing Guilty Gear XX AC+ online.Just one too many connection failures for me to tolerate. And the LAG…when it’s bad, it’s just nasty. I’m dropping basic combos that I could do in my sleep. Fuck, I can forget about FRCs or even timing my regular RCs correctly. Taking random ass forward HSlashes to the face because it takes the game 2 seconds to register that I’m trying to use Faultless Defense.
Yoooo…I was messing around with Kliff online and he’s too fun lol maybe I should pick him up as a second
I don’t think the R update is going to address the netcode.
I would take your inquiry to dustloop, there is probably someone there that can tell you.
My guess is that it is 1f, because of the precision GG requires.
Well they mentioned they’d improve netplay.
matchmaking, not netplay. I don’t understand what they could do to improve netplay unless they are really taking +R back and basically redoing it.
I don’t know, companies have made successful tweaks before. But they didn’t mention fixing the netcode specifically, so I am doubtful.
But what can you do to make Guilty Gear online playable without adding buffers into the system? Anything short of a perfect connection is going to feel off. The ArcSys code is about as good as any I can think of with delay code.
Unless they just go rollback, which they obviously wont.
I’ve been wondering…is OS’s 236S actually good for approach or are netplayers just dumb
Netplayers are just dumb. Using Rock it to traverse the screen is stupid unless they set it up so they can’t get blown up for doing it.
I’m not sure what you mean…are you saying the netcode just feels bad because of the precision-oriented nature of the game? Because even if P4U as a game is more lenient, the netcode for it is leagues beyond what GGXXAC is.
Well… I realized why I have such a hard time with charge back > forward moves…
In Street Fighter, I charge back, hit forward, and then back+punch/kick to buffer…
Well, that doesn’t work in Guilty Gear… Or at least, if it does, it’s not NEARLY as lenient as SF is.
Hmm, I can do that in my #R, but on on AC. I wonder why they removed that form of buffering.
Oh well, its shorter charge time than SF anyway.
