No, I meant that I’m wondering if they’re removing PSP AC+ (servers weren’t letting me edit yesterday for some reason) or if the PS3 store update just hadn’t put the game in there yet. I’ll check it later but it’s strange that it’s not there but it is if you go through the vita.
There isn’t actually much of a reason to buy/download a PSP game on the PS3. It would make sense if they removed it.
That said, the new PSN store is fucking terrible.
It’s not just the PSN store. It’s like the people who design main menus for game systems these days do not, in fact, actually play video games. The new Xbox 360 system patch introduced new, larger ads (in greater quantities) to our dashboards and made it even harder to find stuff. Makes those “Remember when a video game system CONVENIENTLY played video games?” arguments a lot more compelling…
That said, I’ve seen the hell that is PSN store and… yeah. Error codes all the damn time, in my experience. You’d think a pack of executives whose job it is to figure out a way to make customers throw money at your company could figure out how to design an ‘e-store*’ you actually like.
*, Edit: Also, you have my permission to punch me in the gut for using the word ‘e-store’ unironically.
Well downloading it on your PS3 keeps it stored on your console so you can transfer it to your PSP/Vita later on. I actually keep Fate UC and Guilty Gear Judgement downloaded on my PS3 because they’re not on PSN anymore.
New PSN store is actually easier to find stuff. Better search function and the menus on the left make more sense. It’s no longer a maze of blue buttons and an unnecessary amount of extra categories. And they don’t mix PSP/PS1 stuff with the PS3 things as much anymore. You’re supposed to search using the menus on the left, and just browse magazine style using the big fancy graphics on the right.
Same for me.
I had an underwater match with a dude in the same state, and a butter smooth match with another dude in my state. It seems hella finicky. Wish the netcode would’ve played more like P4’s.
Why would they even use a different netcode for this game when they already have two good ones with P4 and BB? Makes no sense.
I’m pretty sure it is the same netcode…
This game was not made to play online, there are no buffers and the game in general, is way quicker. With no buffers, inputs seem to be much more strict online.
EDIT: With that said, you can still get great connections. Standard ArcSys code rules apply, leave it on the character select for a little while and DON’T skip character intros, that way it should be fully synched before you start actually fighting and you don’t get that horrible lag right at the beginning.
Like tomo said, the problem comes that ggac wasnt made with online play in mind, so even when the game uses the same netcode as their other releases there is a difference on how it performs.
Thanks for the clarification. Netplay for fighters is so complicated and hard to perfect. I’m dreaming of a day when we’ll have lagless and input delay free netplay.
First is changing the infrastructure from copper wires to fiber.
It isn’t listed in this week’s “The Drop” blogpost, but there’s still a chance that it may come out this week after all.
I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for everyone that’s still waiting…
Now we play, the waiting game…
I have the game already, so I’ll just be watching from the sidelines here at work. D:
How disappointing…
I suppose analysts will chock this up to GGs lack of popularity, and, if it fails after finally being released on the system owned by players most likely to have actually fucking PLAYED it before, that too will be due to its failings as a game.
I fucking hate this gen.

the netcode is not the same as their other games. aksys had something to do with the online in those ports. and anyone who thinks it all comes down to connections needs to try ttt2 online. no excuses
LMAO
Aksys only published the games and other stuff necesary for the localization of the game, all the netcode stuff was and is done by ASW, you know all the programing stuff, since they are the developers, something that Aksys isn’t
The netcode is the same, the difference is that the game wasn’t made for online game like BB and P4A
So… what you’re trying to say, is that FRCs weren’t designed with lag and frame dropping in mind? o_O
Carry on.

So when is this getting on NA PSN?
