people will pick it up for the novelty, people who love it will complain about the netcode, new people won’t be able to stand the learning curve “but i did that combo for the last hour what do you mean i have to learn all this RC etc harbyl garbyl”, then theres the crowd that will pick it up because everyone rants about it being one of the best FGS of all time,
then at last there will be the 4 people who actually will play the game after release and those crazy kids in japan.
tis the fate of all re-released games for xbl and psn.
also Fg out the wazoo in 2012,
UMVC3
Ae2012,
tekken tag 2,
TkxSf,
SC5,
new version of blaz blu,
GG online,
persona 4 fighter,
DOA (if im not mistaken)
and Kof13 and thats still not all of them.
This isn’t looking good for the longevity of these games.
Don’t go comparing 3SO to a GG port that we still don’t have in our hands yet. GG is also being handled by ASW who have been rock solid when it comes to online netcode/matchmaking so far so I don’t see how it’ll turn out bad.
I know that GG was a pretty popular series in the day so people had better put their money and time where it counts. I’ll be playing that game on PSN/XBL until my fingers fall off or my controller breaks haha.
They ran kinda bad online for a while and MvC3 coming out afterwards would definitely hurt it’s predecessor no matter how good a fighting game it is.
ill def give this game a lot of time. it will never replace mvc2 as my main game (idgaf if its a dead game suck my dick) but i will put alot of time into it. if i like it enough ill keep playing it
Definately agree that way too many FGs came out at the same time. Having a hard time sticking with just one but I still cant wait to play AC again, it’s been awhile
GuardCancel posted all of these on Monday. Enjoy.

Kliff and Justice could be tried (though justice has some pretty broke stuff). EX’s shouldn’t be allowed … they have seriously broke shit. Jam literally has no blockstun to attacks that hit mid or high and that’s fairly tame by EX standards.
I’m sure you’ll be able to set things you do and don’t want to play against. Like you’ll be able to set parameters that say “No EX Characters, No Justice, etc”
Which characters are people mostly afraid of? For me Slayer, my only experiences are the cpu on maniac, but he kicks me my butt every time with my main O-sol. I would mix-up my moves, use the range of my moves, guess his movement and counter with 623H, cross-up with 214s, Frcs, but he still kicks my butt. I’ll keep trying, but any advice would be appreciated.
I’m pretty sure arcsys will downgrade Justice and Kliff just a little bit for competitive play (hopefully).
just like in any fighting game, who you should be afraid of tends to be the best characters or the ones you personally struggle against matchup-wise. can’t base anything off the cpu. also in what universe would mixing up moves be useful against fg artifical intelligence. like what even is a mixup in that scenario
regardless, now i can lose in the comfort of my own home instead of in public!
edit: ah shit, 4r5 and bigooooh’s youtube accounts are dead? i had a bunch of ggac vids that i favourited years ago that i was going to review. screw you sony music records and record industry association of japan.
One of the things i like about Guilty Gear is that even if I pick a character most people think is shit, if I’m good enough, I can still kick some ass.
Your edit makes me mad though. :-/ I had a bunch of their vids favorited too. Seriously, the record industry seems to fuck everyone at some point even people who aren’t musicians.
*This being a big IF. I’ve been trying out Zappa cuz I always kinda wanted to learn him. I ain’t good enough lol!
Hell, I don’t even want to play any fighting game online, unless it’s with people I know in real life, ever since I started playing BB with an offline scene once a week or two due to how random online can be, shitty lag is shitty and frustration seems to settle in more.
