How often do you think players start up a Sol vs. Ky match, and look at the intro, every, single, time? It’s really awesome for the first few times, but it eventually gets old. If there’s a skip option, players will use it. A lot. Even if the intro is short. Look at Ragna vs. Hakumen intro in BB. They do two attacks that clash, then a taunt, then they fight. It’s like, 10 seconds long if even that much. And players will still skip it. Why? Because they’ve seen it to death already. So it’s not like people didn’t skip GG intros like you’re implying they didn’t.

I’m not even talking about the GG story-related intros at all.

Go in vs mode. Do sol vs ky or any rival battle. A special cutscene plays. People skip that.

Do Sol vs Bridget. Normal intro. People skip that.

People skip pre-fight intros in every fg out there, doesn’t mean the don’t appreciate the bit of character they add.

And yes, Potemkin airdrop intro is BAWSS!

She was just frozen. Daisuke apparently said in an interview for GG2 that she was on a mission from that man so her punishment was only temporary it seems.

I think she’s pretty popular. You’re like the 500th person asking for her.

In my opinion, I think the characters people want most in the game are:
1.Dizzy
2.Bridget
3.Robo-Ky
4.ABA
5.Jam
6.Faust

They did a character popularity poll not even a year ago, ABA is definitely not a popular contender. Not that she’s terribly unpopular, but she definitely wouldn’t be top 4.
Cutting the characters already in Xrd from the popularity poll, it’d look something like this:

Wow guess trap fascination is super high in Japan. Bridget is a well designed character but I suspect her really being a he is why Bridget is #1. Testament is so fuckin’ awesome, I can’t believe he ranks that low. Johnny is very Americanish, surprised he ranks that high in Japan.

Hopefully That Man is the final boss, and Raven is a playable character.
