When I started playing on GGXX, I was like, “I ain’t gonna waste my time on learning all the weird little effects and glitches in this dust launcher that no one is going to get hit by and that they are obviously going to fix/refine.” 10 years latter, with the coming of Xrd, I am vindicated.
If I can immediately without any delay what so ever jump cancel that forward dash, I’ll take it back. Until I see that, it’s not Impossible Dust.

God, I’m hoping for Testament.
Lord_Raptor: JohnGrimm: just5moreminutes: JohnGrimm: just5moreminutes: DevilJin_01:Its still an “anime” game and like every new fighting game that comes out, people are investing in the idea that the game will be good rather than knowing how good it will be a year or 2 down. You’re going to have the typical old GG fans who won’t like the way the game has changed and just won’t play it. They’ll be a small amount of people, but like every fighting game they’ll make themselves very vocal.
Other than that GG was always the most popular anime game in the US and unless Capcom does something crazy, it’ll be the number 3 game at tournaments behind SFIV and Marvel and do well sales wise.
Xrd isn’t really that different from the previous Guilty Gear games, as far as I know. If any long time players seriously complain about a game as faithful to the previous game as Xrd after capping off the 10 year wait for a new core Guilty Gear title, they are nit picking.
The changes to Dust alone are very not faithful and flat out limit character options. I almost hope Jam isn’t in the game because I don’t want to deal with not having Impossible Dust.
Not to say that it makes Xrd a bad game, but it’s also not the same GG. If oldschool GG heads say they don’t like the changes, they are making valid opinions.
Isn’t the forward dash follow up basically an in-system Impossible Dust?
No.
That’s basically what it is, ASW has said that’s what it is, and that’s whatt he people who ahve played the game say it is. Stop being Squidward, this aint old irc.

Now you’re just being pedantic.
The point of ID’s was to get back on the ground ASAP after a Dust to be able to have your opponent still falling slowly in the Dust state and unable to tech.
The new forward dust doesn’t have to replicate IDs mechanically, just as long as it fulfills the same purpose (i.e. keeps them unable to tech while you start a combo from the ground).

Is it confirmed that the forward run stops your opponent from teching until they hit the ground?

I believe it is, since the opponent is still in the “dust state.” Other wise, they’d be able to tech on the upward jump as well.
Can we get back on topic and talk about how much bigger I-No’s booty is in this installment?

I think other than May, that I have a feeling that all the ladies will have larger hips/booty. Millia already exhibited this and now I-no. I can picture Dizzy’s getting wider (especially after Sin) as well as Jam’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if Slayer’s Sharon got back in this game; and just imagine how her booty will shrink when he sucks that all out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put in Justice in the game “just because” and she gets a fine booty. I bet Bridget would get Boku no Pico bike shorts bootylicious as well.
Then when you compare the in-game models to the art, the booties aren’t as crazy so it makes me think that the lead artist has been watching too much Brazilian Butt.
And no, Squidward forever nigga. Squidward Q 3.0 You can (not) FRC is debuting in the game as That Man’s 3rd servant.
Really hope they bring 1 or more of That Man, Sin, or Valentine for the final version. As well as at least 1 new character. While I’m sad that it seems they won’t get every old character into the final release, they will need some fresh faces imo.
Can’t wait to see who the ‘others’ are at the next loke test. Also very interested to see what I-no plays like, especially with the new RC system.
It seems that “That Man” is called “The Man” in the Pachinko game. Nixon as “That Man” confirmed.
Ino and Axl added to the characters page

I wonder if you can RC Axls unblockable chain. It probably starts being active/moving to the opponent too late for that to be a problem though.

Hopefully the next characters are
1.Testament
2.Baiken
3.Jam
4.Anji Mito
5.Brigette
Mainly Brigette
Or Dizzy
Not surprised at the shorts. Men’s shorts worn above the knee is actually a pretty popular trend these days.
When’s Faust?
This is killing me here. Out of the current reveals, the only one I would actually use would be I-No. Given that Slayer is nearly guaranteed to make a return, I would use him too if I don’t get my actual main back.
I’m pretty hyped for I-No. They just need to reveal Slayer, then it’s ggpo for any other fighter
I hope, assuming Slayer is in, that it’s not strictly #R Slayer. I really don’t like that version of him, feels boring and incomplete to me.
