They only went that route because everyone screamed fould play at the DLC characters, saying that they will wait for the revision, when they got it, everyone said it should have been a DLC like CSII, so no matter what they did, it was a lose lose situation.

Aparently you can YRC at any point of the move, both the YRC and the RC have the slow time effect, both cost 50% of metter
Thecnically this means that you can make a getho FRC that cost of 50% metter, the problem here is that
A) It makes harder to get the YRC at the point that you want, making it easy for you to waste your 50% metter by blowing it at the wrong frame
B) It takes options and depth by simplifying the mter management, while at the same time making it harder for the players, add all the options taken out from the lost moves, FB and other 25% meter options.
C) It has the potential to disrupt the flow of the game, fucking up the perfect pace that has
D) It can lead to a good amount of silly stuff like unblockables, which can potentially make that the game devolves into stupid thing quickly
E) What happens when both players YRC at the same time or when one does it after the other?

Right now, i feel that they will try to compensate for the loss of the FRC by making combo oportunities more easy, which will also cfuck the pace of the game imo, there is evidence with the level 3 danger state that is very problable.

Add that they are using GGXX#R as the base for the game, i really don’t expect a solid game at all.
TBH i preffer to think that they will fuck it up horribly, so anything from them will be a gain for me, if it ends awesome, i win, if is trash i wouldn’t be surprised.

I never thought that the day of an announcement of a new GG would fill me with rage and fear more than excitement :rofl: :sad:

What’s a YRC?

IS the new Yellow Roman Cancel, is called Modern Roman Cancel on GG2ndO apparently.

This new Roman Cancel sounds… intriguing. I have no imagination so I can’t really picture how it’ll work at all in my mind. I’ll depend on the hands on (and hopefully videos) next week and see before making judgement. God, so excited. I was expecting just Sol, Ky and Millia. Now they’re telling me there are going to be 4 more for the loketest? Jeebus, can’t wait.

I’ve got a feeling the only roses you’ll see in game are from her 6P lol.

Lol, forgot about that. Then again, my GG experience is somewhat Millia centric.

I mean, i’ve played games with random timefreezes before and trust me in not a single one of those games was it fun. Making me wish they just did BBvsGG right now i truly don’t like the direction it is going. If nothing else, i want to at least see some gameplay, especially from milia. But if i am still not satisfiede i may just stick with whatever game i’m playing at the time

You don’t like the direction a game is going that you haven’t even seen in action yet? Why don’t you withhold your judgement until then. The game is going into its first loketest; tons of stuff could change.

It all depends on how long it takes. Personally, I don’t see the time-slowed period taking too long.

Also, they’ll likely limit which moves can be YRCed out of. Most likely they’ll keep it to moves that hit mid and not overhead/low (as much as I’d love to YRC out of hair car into Bad Moon, that’s probably not happening).

We fixed it. Apparently, it was listed as 2 on the Xrd site as well before Arc fixed it.

How will Millia throw her pin with that silly hat on… :frowning:

She’ll just throw the whole hat with it, and it’ll make it unblockable with a bigger hitbox.

Her hair changes shape and is a deadly weapon. Do the physics of her being able to do Silent Force with a hat on really matter?

EDIT: Just found out that Ky’s sword is named “Magnolia Eclair”. Seriously, that has to be the most non-threatening name for a sword ever.

I will now convince myself that Ishiwatari came up with the name while having a bad case of the munchies after an epic pot session before writing out the plot of the new game.

I don’t think Daisuke ever cared about practicality or how intimidating something is. I mean, before I got into Guilty Gear, I thought Sol was just fighting with some steel block, not a sword.

I’m not too into the GG lore but do all the new characters come out of pre-existing storyline? I remember that a lot of the X2 characters were already in the original PSX story. If so what characters could make the cut?

I hope they dont give the low learning curve characters at the playtest and save the good shit for later. Hate being spoon fed.
