Whinging about it isnāt going to help keep anyone who wants to stay, though.
I wish I had the full version of Heavy Day to listen to. That song is amazing. Arc should put it up as a single on iTunes or Amazon or something.
This announcement convinced me to buy Accent Core on PSN last night. Played around a bit with it today, and Iām extremely excited for Xrd now. A lot of the guys in my local scene were into it back in the day, so Iām hoping this new iteration takes off.
Iām also excited to learn how to play GG, period, and now I feel like I have an excuse.
Brb, Dustloop.
EDIT: One thing Iād really like to see (and Iām sure itāll be there, if Arcās recent games are any indication) is a trials or challenges mode. You know, for scrubs like me to learn progressively involved techniques with characters and game mechanics.
Not to defame SRK but anyone wanting to get a head start with GGAC(+R) really does need to head on over to Dustloop. The place is the holy grail of Airdashers.
Anyway.
If they made Sol that bulky. God fucking damn what will they have done to Potemkin
So, this is probably a PS4 release isnāt it?

They will do the opposite and give him the noodle person treatment by turning him into a bishounen.
Are there any good grapplers in GG? I know thereās Potemkin but I like fast grapplers or hybrid grapplers (Like Clark in KOF or Alex in 3S).

Pot is the only grappler character in GG. But this is a new game, which likely means new characters; maybe more will pop up.

You might enjoy May.

Right, but itās fair to say that some of the fan favorites will show up.
You wonāt find an Alex in BB. Itās pretty much Potemkin or bust.
Not that itās a bad thing, Yāknow, since heās one of the strongest characters in the game.
By reading the posts here, itās clear that Arcās challenge for this game is to retain the things that make GG what it is, while minimizing any arbitrary execution barriers that could keep the game from reaching a wider audience. I mean, I believe that GG has a wide enough name recognitionas a OG fighting franchise that people who might not be attracted by BB and other airdashers/animu/whatever weāre calling them at the moment fighters. IMO, the key is in understanding how stuff works in the overall meta and not being pedantic about mechanical replication. I mean, itās a new game after all which is the perfect time for them to take a step back, look at what theyāve got and figure out what works, what doesnāt grow the game for the better.
On a related note. I do wish that they use GGPO netcode, mostly because getting GGPO working with UE would not only be a good thing for Ponder, but it would mean that one of the most used game engines out there can have great fighting game netcode.
Itās pretty much Potemkin or bust(er).
I guess until then, I wonder how popular- GG+R will be once itās released on console. Seriously, release date when???
Yeah, Iām still eager to play +R.
I mean, I was so happy when they released ^Core on XBL/PSN but now it feels like a hollow victory when the most current version isnāt availableā¦ oh well. āVanillaā Accent Core is where all of my favourite memories are from anyways.

Probably not very, the netcode is ass.
Itās a stretch, but Slayer has a command grab that he can cancel both his forward and backdashes into. This also transfers over a bit of invincibility into the start up of the grab or any move he cancels them into. Also he can combo after the grab, though it requires meter in +R.
What better way to grapple than with someone whoās not even a grappler at all? Also, he loses pretty hard to Potemkinā¦unfortunately.

Iād say Slayer is more of an Iori than he is a Clark, but really a KoF character in any other game would probably be considered a grappler. If youāre looking for mobility and command grab mixups heās a better choice than most in GG since heās basically top 8 in every game heās in.
GIving my thoughts on itā¦actually pretty glad that this is being madeā¦perfect timing if you ask meā¦
