Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- one of life's gilty pleasures

But are you sure of that or just speculating? Danger Time hasn’t occurred often in loktests and the only video of one that we have for this loktest was from heavies. So unless you’ve got something else, there’s more pushing against it being random than for. Plus, there are supers in GG that last longer than danger time startup, and the pacing after it will likely be even faster due to forced counterhits.

And elvenshadow mentioned blitz shield not being as strong as speculation thinks.

Was this posted yet?

Yeah Blitz Shield isn’t anything to worry about it seems, I was worried it would fuck up Projectile based oki but doing that gets you killed.

Danger Time happening randomly and so rarely is dumb, it’s a dumb mechanic in the first place but if it’s barely going to happen why even have it when they say they wanna pair down on mechanics.

While we are complaining that slow motion thing on roman cancels is really stupid too. IDK…I thought GG would never go the route of casual catering, but whatever. KOF and VF have no qualms about shutting out casual FG players I dont think its such a bad thing to exclude a group of people who change fighting games for the worst.

From what Elven Shadow says, yeah that made things easier but the game is still GG so a ton of this catering to casuals shit you guys are saying is pretty dumb.

It’s just something in there to hype up casual players such as myself. They’re targeting everybody, not just incessant forum deadbeats.

Frequency is another way of creating impact, or selling a move or mechanic. In the case of “super moves,” they wouldn’t be as “super” if they were more frequent and readily available and would lose aesthetic impact overall. So, Arcsys wants an infrequent mechanic that has a variable but not too variable presence in the game but has a certain amount of impact on the player. Of course how one interprets or receives this is very subjective. I could imagine that many causal players pressing buttons and then all of a sudden DANGER TIME coming up could excite them, and add to the imagery in their memory of their time with the game overall.

For me, I like the visual effects and the concept of getting super cool counter hits during this timed mode. The long pause is supposed to build up anticipation, but I think it could be cut by a half second or so (but that’s the reason why overall it’s infrequent.) So we’ll see when there is more match footage or when we actually play the game.

But who said it wasnt a GG game? I didnt say that? I said there are obvious steps taken to making it more casual. Which is a bad thing.

Let us not forget that the location tests in november had Bedman’s super streamlined directly into an instant kill. Since when were special attacks causing a hard stun long enough to instantly end the match?

People always complain that making a game more acessable is good for everyone. No its not. Learn to play the game the way it was meant to be played, you dont see platformers and RPGs completely changed from 15-20 years ago just because the new generation of gaming said it was too difficult to do flashy moves.

It’s not always bad and it doesn’t really seem that way from what people ho were legit at GG are saying. Shut up.

May 6HS, and that ha nothing to do with making things more casual, it’s just the way they want the character t o operate, eems with Bedman they want his IK to play a big part in his playstyle.

You haven’t been paying much attention to platformers int he past six years have you?

And it got nerfed in the current loktest. Since when does making something too strong in a pre-release loktest mean the game is more casual?

Just because it got nerfed doesnt mean there wasnt an active step taken toward making the game more approachable by casual players.

Just like vanilla marvel beta had Ryu and Hulk with an airdash.

Either way, you can name call and insult me all you want. GG doesnt need all these mechanics to make people who DONT play Guilty Gear happy. You’re going to pick it up, play around with it then drop it just like the community did Skullgirls, Kof, Mortal Kombat and all the other new games. If you dont even plan on having GG as your main game, what you feel it needs is pretty irrelevant, why do you even care?

The overwhelming majority on Dustloop are still unsure about the mechanics and SRK is like “sounds great ta me!”

Danger Time is hype. That’s why it’s in there. I don’t really even mind it, I love it when shit gets even more intense. It’s also pretty innovative and unique; and if it makes spectating the game alot easier and enjoyable for Marvel and SFIV (and the like) then it’s a small price to pay.

I don’t really even see it as a detriment; it doesn’t disrupt the flow but intensifies it. It baits out the man from the wuss. You gonna back down in fear of being counter hit? Or are you gonna RTSD!? Are both of you gonna back up like pansies? Or are you gonna run at each other like Sol and Ky in the credits!? IT’S DANGER TIME BITCH.

IIRC Hulk didn’t have an air dash but Ryu did. And how is that an example of making it more casual? More movement options for a character makes it casual now? So is GG more casual for having a universal air dash sans potemkin? Well don’t stop there, any game with chains is casual, any game with links above 1 frame is casual, if you can plink, it’s casual. All games should be extremely difficult and have horrible controls so that only the hawdcoe crowd can play them.

And I haven’t name called you, I’m just saying that your logic is flawed atm.

Because, ya’ know, Baldur’s Gate 2 and Dragon Age 2 are totally on the same level.
C’mon man, problem is EVERYTHING is getting tone down for the causal market, not just gaming. As least use some logic if you’re gonna do some comparing.

But, what I find funny is the things that made people rage the most is what makes the game sell well now a days. Kinda odd.

Actually the only people in this thread making definitive comments about the game are you and Hecatom and neither of you two have even played it, yet you’re able to make a judgment call on what the game will play like 6 months, a year, or more from now, when you should probably just shut the fuck up and take a wait and see approach to how the mechanics actually interact with the game in a real world environment before making calls about how scrubbified the game has become, cuz right now you sound like a whiny bitch. Your whole position so far has been “They changed it now it sucks!” and it’s pathetic.

yeah because blind faith is better

Gee I wonder where the fuck in that post I said anything about blind faith. In fact I believe I mentioned taking a wait and see approach in that post, as in “lets wait and see what happens when we have the game in our hands and can see how it performs in real world environments before we start making definitive declarations about anything.”

Maybe you should try reading that post again sir, I guarantee you will find no mention of blind faith in it. I understand English isn’t your first language so I suggest you slow down and actually read what people say before mashing on the post button. It will do you wonders.

No one is acting like the game is perfect and no wrong can come about from it. What people are doing, however, is accepting that they have not played the game and can’t pass good judgement on such little info on the game. In other words, we’re not calling it xturd from shaky cam footage of one match from a pre-release lok test.

hecatom pulling some darkgeese bullshit

might as well start calling arcsys the leech gang and shit nigga

then he’s pulling emoticons like it’s webster

#Destroyed

Hecatom is an idiot, just stop responding o him because nothing of value will come from discussing things with him.

So yeah exactly like ebster.
