Guilty Gear - Who plays?

Anyway, I decided to order the Japanese PSN cards, now I have to make an account.

By the way, the xbox360 version is coming out this Friday in Europe and other regions like Canada and Mexico.

I have GG on PS2 and a PS2 stick so I have no reason to run out to buy the Japanese version on PS3. It’s pretty easy to find on PS2, which is probably the best version. If you have a stick for the Wii that doesn’t suck, of course that’s fine too.

Dustloop has an excellent beginner’s guide to GG. Read all the system explanation here. http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Guilty_Gear:_Accent_Core

Not sure about the Wii version, but PS2 has no online play (I know the online in this version isn’t perfect and can be hit-or-miss) and I would be very lucky to actually find people who want to play this game in my area (They mostly play UMVC3 and AE2012), especially since not many people buy digital downloads. Well, I did get some local guys interested in TTT2, so I might give it a try and bring in my PS3 for the offline session.

ps3/360 versions have a slower game speed. This effects frc timing, so if you plan on going to any tournaments in the future, you should probably at least get it to get accustomed to the slower speed. The arcade version actually runs slower than the ps2 as well, so the new ports are actually better representations of the arcade experience. Also, you’ll want to have it for when they patch to +r.

I have people offline I play with every week.

I played on the 360 version at a friend’s house and was hitting FRCs very consistently so I’m not too worried about it.

I plan on buying the PS3 version when it comes out in the US, of course. I just don’t get anything from trying to buy the Japanese version on PS3.

Feeling incredibly jealous

I am jealous that they have in person opponents as well. All mine ditch Guilty Gear. I love the game too much to ditch it.

Fuuu ~ I hate waiting for this to come out on PSN, without a set release time. I’ve never really fucked around with making a a Japanese account, I had first heard about doing so when they re-released Dark Awake to the Jap. PSN store. I wasn’t totally sure about that one though, so I never ended up trying it out or anything.

Guilty Gear is one of the games that I really fervently adore, but do not know how to play at all, like Vampire Savior. I’m hoping the online is stable for the US PSN release. I forsee losing like 98% of my matches online for a long time though, I haven’t played since GGXX for the PS2. : u

That’s pretty much what’s been happening to me since I got the game on the JP PSN on release. I’m getting a 360 soon, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to find people to play in the US on XBL. u_u;

What’s the deal with the US release? I thought it was only a week behind the Xbox version

Even with a 3+ bar connection it doesn’t feel like offline play and I fuck up my FRC’s…

Does anyone play at Super Arcade in Walnut? I’ve given up on online play with this netcode =/

Does Super Arcade have a GG machine? I’d go there and play if it did.

Online is pretty good to me, so long as it’s +2 bar and up. I have no problem landing frcs in those conditions.

They have consoles some nights for P4U casuals and there was talk of possibly having GG casuals there as well since its latest release.

Well if they ever do decide GG then I’ll be there.

A godsgarden channel is streaming what lloks like some GG casuals if anyone is interested --> http://www.twitch.tv/godsgarden

Wel its on Us psn now? Who is playing it now?

Me, though I suck - wanting to learn it though. I play Venom. Add me?

You can add me if you want to play a May that has forgotten how to do everything except hold D and run up OHK.

What’s your name?

PSN:Spaceoutnight, if I’m not on that account, the “comments” thing of my psn will say my other account.
