Even if Slash isn’t “arcade perfect” it’s only been changed to fix random glitches that don’t effect how the game is played on console. Skuld pretty much pointed that out. It doesn’t even matter in the end, since everyone will be playing the console version in the U.S. TS, ECC, Evo, etc. are all console tournaments, so crying about how Slash is not “arcade perfect” is really a waste of energy.

on other notes about Zakuta(from the hills) being a staff of dustloop, HELLO! he can be staff or whatever he likes but it’s obvious he doesn’t know shit all about the arcade community and should just, SPEAK for the console community, shut up about the international arcade players, and just dun be a dick(guess it’s quite hard for him not to be. Now just to shed some light, it is obvious that consoles ports are USUALLY for arcade people to practice with, so they can be better at the arcade. No one gives a FUCK about console play if they’ve got access to an arcade. EXCEPT for the EXCEPTIONAL console tourneys (oh btw, ASIA HOLDS MOST TOURNEYS ON ARCADE CABINETS!)
Now, because we have to roll with it, we have to spend COUNTLESS hours, not practicing, but running from arcade to console to find out what works for which, so you dun do anything stupid in the arcade and lose (losing sucks becoz in HK and JAP, sometimes you’ll have to wait for half an hour for your turn. Maybe you didn’t know that…) And so there is nothing wrong with POZER bitchin’ about it. SO STFU
Seen as Skuld’s post has rendered your argument defunct, I don’t really need to say anything else about the matter. If you go to the arcade to play regularly, then this shouldn’t effect you a great deal at all. Seen as 95% of console conversions are not arcade perfect, this is not new territory for anyone. Having arcade tournaments? Good, because you should be having more of those in the first place - your game will only be ‘affected’ on console and if you are only playing on console, where ARC actually decided to change the game purposely, then you’l just have to play that until an arcade version arrives in your area (good luck with that).

The only redeeming thing in the last few pages of this thread has been PozerWolf’s bouncing furry boobs.
Who fucking cares already, the game is standard everywhere now there is competition. With recent tournies holding Slash like FR9 and TS and now Evo (with a 3v3 team tourney a la SBO no less), the argument as to whether or not the console port of Slash is valid enough is moot on this side of the continent.

Slash isn’t 100% arcade perfect, so what? Crying about it won’t magically make it perfect like the arcade, nor will it force Sammy to actually re-release Slash. Just play the damn game and enjoy that 1) we have it in the first place, and 2) it’s going to be at Evo. Stop whining![/Arnold]
