Im generally using Guile/Sagat both with defense and meter gems… the team is super lame and I like that lol. I don’t have problems with damage though because if i need to get damage I do a lot of dp/fk tags with the meter I got zoning. That may seem random but its safe and can lead to combos at random times. I never try to mash though it is kind of a mixup with throw on their wakeup. I also like how after abc launcher I can combo into either members super.
As for the dlc characters Im going to try and filter Sagat out for Alisa as playing around with her has been a ton of fun so far.
Who are you guys looking at among the dlc? Jack X looks simply amazing with his crazy damage.
I’m currently running Guile x Bryan. Bryan’s got even more damage potential than Julia (my previous anchor), in exchange for some footsies ability and the crossup. He’s got great ways to use meter and strong safe pressure, and the 1050 health helps offset Guile’s low health.
Guile is great as a battery, and Bryan is great to use all that meter.
Right now I’m running Blanka/Guile aka “team lame”
Blanka can get the life-lead, tag-in Guile, and after that I’ll zone ppl out, or I can tag-in Blanka again after a cross-up or cr.mk
This team needs some damage gems, and then they’re good to go.
I just don’t like Guile as a point character, since he can have some problems to get in when your opponent has the life lead.
This is the same team I’ve been using and really the only consistent wins I can get. I use guile on point bc of his amazing zoning abilities, and also I love blanka as my anchor. I keep hearing how horrible he is but he has been my main since sf2 and he is amazing now imo. There are some very high damage cross cancels I am pulling in the corner. I don’t see many blankas out there so it’s good to see someone else using this crew. Def not lame
Yeah but my team is Blanka/Guile.
I love Blanka as a point character, because he can open up people so I can get the life lead.
Once I got that life lead, I’ll tag-in Guile and that’s it. You don’t have to deal with tekken-strings when they can never catch you
Together they build up a lot of meter for alpha-counters and tag combo’s.
And both supers are great anti-airs, if people are foolish enough to jump in on Blanka or Guile when they got a charge
I find it so difficult to main blanka with guile as anchor. Guile has to be my lead man here. It’s funny because we both use the same team but our strategy is different it sounds like. I start out with the zone and try do plenty of fast tags and extend my post tag combos with tag cancels. This is my strongest team imo and many others I play this game with. I hope to see u online.
