I just want him to be able to convert off an opening properly. i.e., not be hamstrung by his charge requirement. Either a short charge or hits with long reeling frames. Or something.
Honestly, I want a classic guile with just two moves and a powerful v-skill. Abel Roll as v-skill would be a nice addition. Just give give the guy something that adds mobility while maintaining the charge.
I also dont want command normals like chun’s which forces you to break charge. I want him to be the opposite of nash, not a braindead turtle he was in sf4 though (it was a good thing in sf4, but i dont think sfv can handle a character like that). I hope he blends in.
True, but look at the 2 real charge characters in the game: Bison and FANG. Bison got a QCB so he can combo between charge specials in VT, and FANG got a command dash to augment his mobility. What would Guile need?
People said the same thing about Alex so go ahead and do a 2 week vacation. By the time you come back Guile news should be out. If you take vacation for the whole month Guile should be out by then
So funny that you said that. I took a 2 plus week vacation. I left march 23rd and I wont be back till April 10th. Alex came out while on my vacation. I havent touch Alex yet. lol
Quite positive they confirmed months ago that Guile is going to be charge.
I don’t like Guile, never really have, but I am still interested to see what they do with him. In a bare bones fighter like SFIV and SFV, characters like Guile who can cover on reaction most screen space with the press of a button scare me a lot. I suspect he’s going to either be top tier good, or absolutely terrible. Considering SFV’s engine, the idea of him landing in mid-tier seems unlikely. Though just by having a meterless reversal, he could land there I suppose, since that is valuable in SFV.
Even if I’m already cringing at the idea of playing against him, a part of me always enjoys the challenge of trying to sneak in on a guile player. His fireballs by virtue of being charge are already guaranteed to be better than Nash’s, and he’s very likely to have a meterless reversal. Going to be doing a lot of reversal baiting even when I do get in – it’s gonna be rough. Looking forward to it. And not. But I kind of am. But not really.
