After the 3rd Sonic Boom, pop V-trigger Dash Forward cr.MP (ChargeLess Sonic Boom)
If you hit HP and HK with V trigger popped it shoots a Sonic boom without having to charge it, The hit stun on that sonic boom isnt as long as regular Sonic boom so you have to use cr.LP after it
Now you might be able to Dash Forward cr.MP , mp Sonic boom but not much charge time so I use FP+FK

I get what you mean now. I didnā€™t know he could do chargeless booms lol. I actually think that after the dash that st.mp, cr.lp, boom might be possible too but the charge time is very strict.

WoW Guile nerfs incoming to hit stun on sonic booms

It kind of sucks his 5Hp crush counter is a launcher. If you go for the meaty 5Hp and it hits but not counter you can get 230, but if you get the counter you only get 204 (meterless). Anyone have a better meterless crush counter off 5hp atm?

He can get 240. CC 5HP, 3HK, HK Flashkick

Honzo Gonzo thinks Guile is trash, main reason being from what I could tell are that his Sonic Booms recover too slowly.

still recovers faster than anyone elses fireball in this game. Old geelay is going to be good to great.

Is meaty 5hp punishable on block? Being -6 really pains me.

Awesome bro, so then it isnā€™t too bad having that as a launcher. Meaty reverse spin kick works out alright: itā€™s set up almost perfectly after a flash kick ender (vs quick rise), and it combos on counter hit

10 frame start up with 28 frames recovery as opposed to SF4 9 start up and 20 recovery.

Same overall frames as Dee Jayā€™s lp Air Slasher in SF4 (12 start up/26 recovery)

Hurtbox is much better than Nash when throwing booms

ok so if you score a crush counter cr.hk, you can do v-skill, boom (make it so they donā€™t turn into the one big boom), if for whatever reason it hits, instant v-trigger, super.

I extended my corner combo from earlier and getting 524 damage and 528 stun.

Corner: j HK, cr MP xx LP Sonic Boom, cr HP xx V trigger, cr MP xx HP Sonic break MP LP LP LP, dash forward, st HP, cr MP xx LP Sonic Boom xx super

I tried getting the last cr MP into flashkick into super but I couldnā€™t get it to work, then again, my execution is pretty ass so if someone else wants to see if they can pull it off, then be my guest, it should deal more damage with the flashkick rather than the sonic boom. Itā€™s kind of hard to tell because Iā€™m not clear on how Guileā€™s super works, whether it starts counting on the first hit or if it starts counting as soon as it starts up (like in SF4); if it starts counting only on first hit, then flashkick into super should yield more damage, if not, then sonic boom probably does more damage.

Honzo Gonzo setting up Guile for the wheelchair. Last time we tried to put characters in the wheelchair they ended up becoming high tier or winning tournaments regularly.

Sonic booms have better combo potential and he can meterlessly make them do more than one hit. They donā€™t need to be any faster.

Is Guile can no longer punish midrange fireball trades with backfist? Been trying to backfist fb trade against Ryu hados but failsā€¦

Not sure if people are aware of this or not but I figured Iā€™ll say it anyway. EX Sonic Boom puts opponent in a juggle state but so far, I can only juggle with flashkick or 4/6 LK. Flashkick will only juggle if the EX Sonic Boom is done almost point-blank (no jump in beforehand) or in the corner whereas bazooka knee can still juggle after a jump in but still spacing dependent. Guile gets more damage from going into cr MP flashkick after a jump in anyway without having to spend meter, so itā€™s kind of pointless to worry about the juggle midscreen but if itā€™s in the corner, he can follow up with flashkick to get more damage if Guile lands an EX boom in the corner.

As for resetting with bazooka knee, he gets a meaty or throw but the meaty doesnā€™t really get him very much from my initial testings. None of the meaties combo into one another so his best option here is cr MP xx sonic boom. Iā€™m pretty sure doing a meaty 5HP isnā€™t safe, so itā€™s kind of pointless to attempt that and itā€™s his only link from what I can tell. The opponent resets at some distance after the bazooka knee so Guile has some time to walk forward and play the throw game. If someone finds out something else he can do after an EX Sonic Boom, I would like to know.
