I think that’s people liking theming though, there’s a lot of that if you look at those stats.
Sylvari like nature-y types, asura like engineers, charr and norn like warriors, etc.

yeah I saw that on facebook. So cool. I wish I had spent more time exploring the world, but I was trying to save most of that for final release. Lots of cool stuff. I even saw these platforming puzzles which lead to mini-boss encounters near the asura starting area.

I played Theif most of the weekend really enjoyed PVP, completed queensdale first day. I love it like i knew i would.

is there an offical srk server picked yet? I recommend picking a server with some oceanic guilds due to having a better server advantage during WvWvW
I can’t wait to play this game. I loved the Mesmer, Guardian, Thief, and Engineer.
And SRK sevrer would be fun, but we don;t even know all the server names yet. Besides, I want to play with my friends as well.

Worlds are only important to WvWvW. You can still play with friends on other servers, just not in WvWvW.
Players will be able to visit other worlds as guests as long as they have friends on those worlds. This feature is free, but guest players will not be able to enter World versus World PvP and the power of the Mists bonuses from their home world will continue to apply to their characters.
And all of the worlds are named after places in GW1, so… if you list your five favorite places from GW1 then surely at least one of them will end up being a server’s name.
Here is the info on servers, currently my guild [LaZy] is huge and were running into a problem with max capacity.
I have played on Eternal Grove and Yak’s bend during BWE’s.
On EG you could que up and get into WvW. I never did get in on YB during BWE3.
Whats the use of being good at WvW if you can’t get in to play it?
Here’s a little inside for large guilds/communities heading into what severs as far as I know. = D
Anvil Rock: The 4chan server… this is an unruly bunch.
Yaks Bend is the Guild Wars 2 Guru server… Its going to be really full.
Sorrows Furnace: Lots of PVP elite headed that way. Going to be really full.
Darkhaven: This is the Reddit sever going to be really full as well.
Sea of Sorrows: The Oceanic server… Wile that might sound cool its going to be full and also rumor has it Goon Swarm/Squad will be there and they are annoying… (huge understatement )
Some large guilds have still not announced where they will be. I.E. Kiss (Avoid) , LaZy (The Best) , King (Falling Apart anyways) , Boon (Good guys)…XoO…

Is there a list of which online communities will be on which server? Similar to what Xorph3u5 posted earlier but more comprehensive? I’d like to know so I’ll know which servers to avoid joining. Like hell am I going to be sent to queue or overflow servers because of large ass guilds taking up all the PvP or zone slots. Would also like to avoid any RP’ing guilds. No neckbeards plz.

Not that long finished playing one of the stress tests, this is going to be awesome!
The guilds with <50 members I’m not worried about. I expect there to be a lot of overlap between membership since players can join multiple guilds. It’s the ones with hundreds of people in them I want to avoid since there’s a limit on how many people can be inside a zone. Not to mention the leaders of large size MMO guilds are armchair generals with control issues barking orders at virtual toons and will spaz out whenever an outsider wanders into their planned event. Not sure how likely that will be with GW2 but it certainly was a common occurrence in the last MMO I played years ago (FFXI).
Anyways I need to watch/read some thief gameplay now, suddenly feel like trying out that class.
