[Guild Wars 2]

Very concise. Thank you.

No problem. I forgot to mention it in my previous post but avoid crafting unless it’s chef or artificer. The rest are pretty much money sinks and unless you know how to work the market well, it’s pretty slow to make money even if you have a niche item you’re exploiting and don’t have a lot of competition in. Since the supply of items is way down due to a lot of bots being gone, you can make good gold by just selling the mats you get on the TP, you just need to make sure the items you’re selling aren’t going for vendor price or 1c higher, as you will not make the most money that way (listing fee and tax). Items like that (usually gems and some leather) you can just vendor (or just keep them?).

Also, dungeons, I would say I made about 80g from doing dungeon runs.

it’s hard to find a reason to play another character when you could be plowing through content as a pve master race warrior

seconded on dungeons you get quite a bit now from the miniboss and chest drops plus the daily completion

yeah warriors (and guardians?) are top tier pve right now. i find it funny that i was unimpressed when i specced my warrior for condition damage and yet that outdamages any condition build a mesmer can do. for direct damage it’s not even close lol. i havent tried support builds yet but i have a feeling warrior shout heal is better than whatever mesmer healing is. i dont think a mesmer should do as much damage as a warrior but having another class at 80 puts things in perspective.

mesmer is pretty fun though its good for carrying teams of bad people

You only tell me this after I level up leatherworker and huntsman to 400. :bluu:

No regrets, though. When I change my spec, it’s nice to be able to craft some entry-level yellows with very little muss or fuss about it.

That’s how I view crafting now; it just nice to deck out my characters with gear I have made rather than have to buy and when I farm all the mats, it’s all free

Having completed 2/5 of the main gifts for incinerator (2 more are almost complete), it kind of bums me out that now that I’ve finished Gift of Mastery, it’s all just a case of throwing money at the problem

guardians are overrated imo. damage output doesn’t compare to the war. they wear heavy armor but they also have 10k base health, versus war’s 18k. their support is good, but who needs support when you got warrior shouts

given the option of 4 war + 1 guard or 5 wars, i’d take 5 wars. i’d rather have an engi or necro instead of a guardian.

Just used this, omg thanks for the link, I needed cooking for liquid flame and the sheer volume of ingredients and recipes spun me out. Some of the prices on that list (as they said) had changed, but I think it cost me 1g 20 which for 0-400 is just phenominal, I also used chocolate orange instead of griffin egg omelette, but damn, that was so easy and painless.

Now for Weaponsmith…

So I told my friend to join my server, but it’s full. So he chose one and when I tried to transfer to it, it was also full.

WTF! Why this game so popular?!?!?

Found an account bound exotic recipe in Sorrow’s Embrace for a ring called Husk of the Destroyer, takes 1 Ori Band, 1 Ori setting and 200 tokens. Sold 1 for 15g, time to farm SE and rinse this shit for a while and pay off some lodestones!

You can now change your chars appearance via gem store now!

Yay!

Yeah, I changed my hair color!

Also, this happened…

Holy shit, congrats dude! I still am waiting for a spot to open up on your server, >_<.

People have been moving over to our server because we’ve been doing pretty well in WvW, it’s bandwagoning, we’ll lose population again real soon, I’m positive.

Been doing some Wintersday stuff. I missed Tixx at the Sylvari place but oh well. Snowball fight pvp is more fun than regular pvp to be honest. Point capture pvp isn’t that fun compared to this and the classes are pretty cool to use in snowball fight. I would have expected more modes like this added by now since it seems this pvp mode and the previous Halloween pvp event both seemed to be liked by the community.

Both PvP and WvW need new elements added to them, both are starting to feel very stale.

Wish I was on a server with srk people, then again I have a level 7 Ranger.

Huge necro.

I’ve been playing a lot for the last two months, trying to build an Incinerator for my thief. Whoever actually was able to make a legendary weapon how did you farm for the T6 mats? All I do is just farm CoF path 1 all day and try to buy the mats rather than farm them.

The most recent patches have removed culling (making player models that are farther away invisible in order to reduce strain on your computers. huge issue in larger scale battles since you couldn’t see every enemy) as well as added traps as a new feature. There are two types of traps: supply removal and stealth traps. Both cost 15 Badges of Honor and 525 Karma to buy. It requires 10 supply to place and it takes 4 seconds to place one and last they last 1 hour. Traps affect up to 20 enemies within a 1200 area around where the trap was triggered.

Supply removals are pretty straight forward. They remove 5 supply from everyone within the area.

Stealth traps put a Revealed debuff (reveals cloaked units and they cannot cloak for 30 seconds). So pesky infi-stealth Dagger/Pistol thieves (I’m one), mesmers using Decoy and veiled zergs have to be much more careful when engaging.

necro:

Surprised this thread hasn’t resurfaced since it went f2p.

Just started an elementalist on Dragonbrand. The free account restrictions are kind of annoying, especially the not being able to sell certain qualities of gear. I’ll make the assumption that you can get around this by having someone with an upgraded account instant sell for you, or list it if they’re generous.

I really like that you can be a member of multiple guilds and represent any one of them on the fly. Like you can be lowkey with a smaller guild, and then switch to a bigger guild for more serious group play. The system makes other mmos seem like a lot of effort into trying be more social.
