pics
it was patched out like 3 hours after i posted that lol
there’s plenty more pics floating around on the gw forums
PvP in the game needs a serious matchmaking system -_- to keep competitive players more entertained, great game and great start i hope they can polish the game more in the future.
I can’t figure out how to get new armor in this game. I’m level 33 and wearing level 25 armor. I know I could get some in dungeons but meh…
Trading Post is probably the best place, stuff is pretty reasonably priced.
Wear karma gear. At that level you shouldn’t be buying much of anything. Once you get comfortable you don’t even have to do that. Just be well enough to survive the content you’re doing and save your gold and karma for lv. 80.
The first two pictures of that album is hilarious.
man Dagger Storm is OP as shit in WvW , lol. god i love playing thief.
GW2 models have nice asses.
honestly I just wear what drops from loot. I can usually survive long enough to get them for the area in question. No need to buy it. Same with weapons.
This game is an example of great design that I was hoping would come to MMOs. It’s great, I can play, have fun doing whatever I want and not play for days/weeks while I’m busy and not feel guilty or like I’m missing out.
I think the current PvP implementation has a few problems, isn’t quite up to WAR levels yet, but this game is just plain fun, something an MMO hasn’t been for me for a while.
That said, it has been an easy procrastination tool for me haha, level 50 already and the uni semester is still going.
Well since they pretty much OK’d combat mod and they said they aren’t banning anyone for it (at the moment), I might go ahead and play with it.
expliquer s’il vous plait.

Here are 2 vids of combat mod in action.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/10xk9u/arenanet_on_combat_mode_you_wont_get_banned/ Most of the details are in there.
jinsaotome, where did they ok it? Link? I don’t wanna get banned
Well they didn’t okay it because they said it’s not something they do with 3rd party mods but as long as it doesn’t alter the game files or hooks up into the game in any way then it’s “fine” with them. Basically they said that while they aren’t going to “ok” it, they are not going to ban anyone that uses it, though I don’t think they can even detect it since it doesn’t do anything with any game files at all.
"For AN to approve a mod they would have to allocate time and staff to studying and testing the code, to make sure there was nothing malicious in there. Additionally, they would be responsible for the mod, and they would have to train their support staff to be able to handle bug fixes and other details of the mod. This just isnt a viable approach. So no, they will likely never approve a mod.
Also, Gaile has said she may give an official statement about 3rd party mods over on the GW2 forums sometime in the next couple of days hopefully. I’ll get it linked here as soon as its posted."
So I will probably just wait until the announcement is made but once it is given and they say it’s OK to use combat mod, time to run it.
It’s a sad day when people are afraid of getting banned when Anet hasn’t done shit about bots. But that’s how it currently is when legit players are getting punished while bots are given free roam.
When I go to Sparkfly I count no less than 15 accounts teleport hacking and farming the one krait defense dynamic event near where Tequila spawns, or Frostgorge where bots are killing Arctoduses 24/7, or Cursed Shore Penitent Camp DE bots. The list goes on.
is that combat mod still unavailabe for dl?
Not sure to be honest, I haven’t looked for it yet but I am sure it’s available there somewhere.
So I finally hit level 80 on my warrior and I have 6 gold, but neither weapon or armorsmithing is 400 yet and I haven’t found a lot of Orichalcum.
Problem is I am not sure how I want to go about gearing up (or even how I should). I was thinking of mixing Valkyrie armor (Power, vit, crit damage) with Knight’s accessories (power, precision, toughness) and a Berserker’s Greatsword (power, precision, crit damage). Seems to be a good combination of overall stats and you don’t end up being too squishy either while still dishing out good damage.
I am staying Greatsword due to the fact that I like 2handers, even though there’s better builds out there.
Any suggestions, good threads or anything related is much appreciated.
There’s a couple ways to get gear, although none of which are easy/cheap; karma vendors in Orr, crafting, or explorable mode dungeons.
