Where are you seeing ‘‘listen to this device’’?
under recording device options, hit properties for the device and its under the listen tab
omg, you are amazing. That fixed what I’ve been searching for for so long. I’ll finally be able to use WC, lol. Going to make a guide for WC soon I suppose, once I figure out all of the kinks.
Been thinking about getting a streaming set up as well. My laptop seems to have better spec than your so I think i’m good on that part. Now for the equipment is there any other alternative to the HD PVR? it’s so expensive $180 from amazon T.T and about $80 for the splitter and the converter + component cable from Monoprice. Going to cost me near $300 to set this up god damn and that is because I already have multiple HDMI cables. Anyone interested in selling their used HD PVR? haha.
Craig list would be ur beat bet u could probably get one around 140?
Take in mind, a lot of this stuff you can find for a lot cheaper. (converter/splitter/hd pvr) These are just the exact products I use. Search around on Amazon and I’m sure you can find some pretty good deals on these things. Just make sure you get everything that’s powered.
Nah I tried searching lol. Nothing cheaper will actually work. Monoprice has most of what you posted in term of splitting/converting for $80 which isn’t that bad. I think the worst part is that PVR lol. still $180 after a few year -_-. just shows how popular it is.
I haven’t looked up any other type of external capture device. I’m sure something of this quality would run at least 300 for the capture device alone. You can use a lot of the extra equipment for other things too.
Streaming is an expensive hobby, if you want to go anywhere with it expect to spend a couple hundred for various pieces of equipment you’ll be needing often.
I have a 5mp upload speed so I wanted to take advantage of it haha;
I don’t have the faintest idea how you make your PC get the signal from the component video cables coming from the HD-PVR, considering you don’t use a capture card… o.o
Nice. I can’t wait to try this out.
What do you mean? My component cables input to the hd pvr and that’s connected to my pc via USB.
Ah. The HD PVR -> PC USB port part is what I was missing. I thought you needed to use the component video output of the HD PVR…
Nope I only input the video through to pvr via component.
i gave up trying to use vhs screen cap/sfdc whatever it always has slowdown when trying to use it with wirecast people say the launcher in wirecast uses more resources but i can run 720p with a slight hiccup every 15 minutes
i have this laptop with 8 gb ram instead of 4gb

I’ve always found vhsc to be pretty buggy. However, my computer can’t seem to run wc’s desktop presenter efficiently. So I’ve given up on wc for now.
what happens if you do this?
HDMI from xbox > your HDTV
remove plastic thing from compcable that came with xbox so it fits at the same time as a hdmi and > hauppauge
usb from hauppauge > PC
would this work? :xeye:
360 always prioritizes HDMI when it’s available and since it doesn’t support multiple video outputs you’d be stuck with HDMI video and nothing on your component display.
damn and I thought I was on to something lol… thanks for the fast reply GG
