i second this. its sucks having tourneys for games not because their old but because we never played or have not played those games in a long time. not to mention needing sticks for multiple systems. i haven’t played hdr in a while but i would have signed up for that since i only need one stick for it cause its on xbla and its a game i’ve played alot. same goes for mvc2 since its also on xbla. this is only my opinion though. i still think its cool that booty is going for more variety. I really think people need to speak up for future guard crush tourneys.

Oh damn, I didn’t mean it that way, booty clapper. I was trying to get at the issue of the [local] MB players not stepping up to cast their votes for the extra game at the next GC event. Also been kinda frustrated at the lack of attention and respect the game has been receiving in the fg community despite being on the evo roster.
I’m going to honestly say that even if MBAA is thrown in as the extra game for GC I don’t think we will get such a good turn out. What I really want is the local community to step the hell forward and blow this shit up (more). It saddens me to see such a great fighter get tossed to the side considering how far we have come.

Its not getting pushed to the side at all. We didn’t want to have a small turnout for Melty by putting it at back-to-back Guard Crushes. Which is why we’re adding it onto Guard Crush III.
I am seriously considering a random select groove/characters tourney. if it completely fails then we’ll just play super.
its anyone’s game. no worries about RC and tiers. I mean its not like super is a magical game where everyone is winning tournaments. its the same guys always winning anyway(sanford, sabin, etc). why not try other games. maybe we’ll have more turnouts(over 8 lol) than MB or something I dunno…
I dont know how u expect anyone to take this request serious. A random select SSF4 tournament sounds about 100x more practical being its the game that everyone plays and actually knows how to play, and I still wouldn’t suggest it.
thats why I said random select. cvs2 is still street fighter. you have 6 buttons, meaty, short short supers, basic sf combos from st/alpha/etc. how many of these “everyone” know how to play other suggest side games? they dont “know” how to play alpha/melty/kof453324. I dunno I am just throwing in random ideas. maybe we can just cycle games or something. like different side games every week or whatever.

all the BnB that work in SFIV work in CvS2 for the most part some examples rog jabx2,shortXhead butt, blanka shortx2 jabXball. cross up for the most part are the same. sagat short,jabXupercut is pretty much the same so on so forth don’t want to go threw the whole cast
If they are as simular as you guys think they are, then why not skip all the hassle and play Super?
Fact is they aren’t simular. CVS2 has grooves. Super has focus attacks. Frame Data is different, Spacing is different, links would be different timing, combo’s, movement, jumping, normals and just about everything else is different.

CVS2 will most likely never happen at a GC event for sheer lack of intrest. Nothing more.
HDR is your best bet. Imo its about what will people who show up to play ssf4 also be willing to enter. We all got some sf2 background.
I’m down for ssf4 for sure and hdr for lolz if you have it.
