Guard Breaks/unblockable/crossups

As i’ve gotten better and spent hours and hours in the practice room and arcade, i’ve noticed that some opponents have NO FEAR of coming in when their other characters die. In tournaments people are scared to do anything when they come in. You got unblocks and guard breaks and all kind of things that can happen when you come in. I thought we should have an easy place to get all that info for us average players so that when someone comes in after dying they can have that fear too. I’ll get it started with the first one i learned with mags.

MSP/MSS
character dies> next character comes in> dash> dash crouch+call drones or typhoon>c.hp or c.lp>c.hp

Crouch and call drones? What? Are those supposed to do anything?

yeah. this particular one is a crossup. you dash underneath the falling oponent. actually you should call the drones ahead of time. the idea is to confuse the oponent into blocking the wrong way. call drones and then dash then dash crouch and attack. it takes some timing.

crouch? you ain’t going nowhere when crouching… maybe what you mean is a wavedash? or c.hk?

EDIT: oh. i get it.

what he means is u act like normal.

then when the opponent comes in u dash behind them before they land.

if u stay crouched they wont see ur sprite so like u can try and use this one time if the opponent forgets about it

but what i like the best is

sj.lk sj.hk ad/df lk lk as a guard break. i dont use assists cuz they might actually keep them in block stun too long and then u dont get to break their guard.

i think i’ve seen something like that. They have to be just barely barely coming onto the screen right? Oh and do you ad/df on the same side or on the other side of them?

Ideally for me, (it depends on your timing) you do it right before they come out. If you can hit confirm, start the rom. If they block it, pause and AD/DF, depending on the timing and opponent character sprite you will or wont switch sides.

if you do it right, you dont need to alter your timing. you could also try doing it REALLY fast, and their guard won’t be broken until you land.

if u do, sj.hk and sj.lk and then wait a while so that when u dash and lk they will be out of block stun and u will hit them. or if u think ur bad, u can do lk lk ad/df lk lk really fast when they are high up and then u land and do c.hp and they will fall into it

the sj.lk, hk, ad, lk lk is more reliable on push blockers

i have many crossups now. i didn’t really focus that much on guard breaks. i get the sj lk sj RH addf lk lk every now and then. There is another one with mags where he dashes right at them midscreen in the air isn’t it. with one lk then hits them with two lk’s as he falls to the ground. Tho i’m not sure of the timing
