Note: After losing his match to Jiggabry, JS got up and slammed his fist down on the cabinet twice… warping the cabinet frame and sinking the buttons into a sunken hole. I’ve been warning him about slamming the cabinets for two years. Today was the last straw. He is disqualified from this Ranbat season.
I came home tonight and found a bunch of MSN messages waiting for me concerning what happened at RanBat today. The main issue stems around Eric’s actions in the Marvel RanBat and that’s all I’m covering.
Nathan’s ruling on the matter stands but will be clarified. Eric has been banned from the Marvel vs Capcom 2 Ranking Battle Season 1. He will be permitted to re-join the MvC2 Ranking Battles when Season 2 begins on Friday May 18th. Furthermore, his entry fee into that Ranking Battle is forfeit and under no circumstances is to be returned to him.
As a point of clarification, this ruling does NOT affect Eric’s participation in the CvS2/3S/A3 RanBats. Eric is still eligable to play in those RanBats and will not be allowed to pull his entry from said RanBats for any given reason (see Ranking Battle rules on entry fees).

*One side was not working that well most of the time. By my turn the jab was completely dead and the tech wasn’t coming back so we couldn’t continue. After I play JS, the winner will play Adam in the semi-finals and the winner of that will play Samir (assuming there are no rematches) who’s waiting in the finals. I’m not sure when we will actually finish this, maybe in 2 weeks before we start the next ranbat.
Other 3S machine still isn’t replaced. T8 being on console is sounding better already.
Edit: This also means that overall points can’t be updated yet so that will have to wait.
Mechant garcon If you get caught slamming a machine in Montreal, you’ll get banned from the arcade for good, so he should be thankful he’s only banned from ranbats :razzy:
Does this guy always place last?
Hey Krasshole, you better bring a lot a money with you for MAT, I know a lot of people who want to MM you.
I’m assuming Jay has the brackets so here’s the results for Alpha 3:
JS Master (V-Sakura) [10]
YellowS4 (V-Zangief) [7]
Phastestpig (A-Zangief, A-Sakura) [5]
Psychochronic (V-Mika) [3]
Gerjay (A-Dhalsim)
Noodleman (V-Zangief)
Kymah (X-Bison)
Poke Guy (A-Vega)
Jay has the brackets for this. I’m assuming he lost to Eric because I left after I lost to Tommy. Clarify that please because all the rest is accurate.
EDIT:
Overall Rankings:
JS Master [20]
YellowS4 [14]
Phastestpig [10]
Nagata Lock II [3]
Psychochronic [3]
Noodleman
X-Sapphire
DarkGiygas
Poke Guy
Gerjay
Kymah
Chris still has to play the loser of the other semi-finals, Adam B vs me or JS. Well, unless Samir agrees to a rematch, which he might under pressure because he’s sort of under the impression that the fobs are mad at him for hitting the machine (and weakening that button) before the tournament.
I don’t understand what this “hitting the machine” fuss is about, clearly the best way to fix a broken cab is to smash it as hard as possible. Everyone knows that hitting the machines with a powerful strike is the best way to fix them, why else would people be doing it so much?
