OK so here’s the deal:

  • Jason, CQ, and Teddy can’t leave for Montreal until late Friday/early Saturday. They all work Friday and are not taking the day off work to play video games. I personally don’t blame them and wouldn’t want to burn a day’s pay either.

  • Jay Wang has been offered a shot at doing up a cottage trip MAT weekend.

  • I’m undecided if I’m going to go anymore. It’s 5 hours each way (6 for me coming from Hamilton) to play in what would be a single day worth of games. So basically 12 hours worth of driving for 12 hours worth of playing, of which I’d likely have about 1 hour of actual playtime tops.

I’d like to hear from the players that’d actually be riding with me. Are you 100% with wanting to go to Montreal for a day? I’d likely go with majority rules and suck it up because I wouldn’t want to punk out everyone on a ride. We should really settle this within the next 48 hours.

I guess we’re going then. I’ll call Enterprise and arrange for a van rental.

We’ll have to rent for 3 days (we’ll be leaving around 7:00am on Saturday so I have to pick up the van on Friday evening). I’ll get the hard numbers for everyone in a day or two.

Fareed’s group is staying at The Holiday Inn about 5 minutes away. I’m leaning towards that rather than the shithole motel. Any objections?

nope. BTW justin, if you talk to them, they might let you pick up the van on Friday and but only charge you for Sat & Sun. Probably wouldn’t hurt to ask.

do yourselves a favor, theres a nice decent hotel i normally stay at for tournies in laval (counter strike) right near the venue, its the econo lodge on cote de liesse 84 dollars a night after all taxes and everything for a 2 double bed room. google map it, its one exit from the venue about 6 minute drive.
