well tommy thing took place in the 70s…so voice a lil more raspy an aged?? also Claude made an appearance in SA which took place technically BEFORE 3 if i am correct cause of the crazy latin chick that was shoutin bout how they are off to bigger an better things in liberty city after the race…an yes his ass is mute accordin to cannon… again we all could be wrong but im guessing during different parts we will interact with characters of the past…
im rootin for tommy, cj, an fuccin luis & gay tony… claude can take his yakuza stinger an run into a building
It would be cool if the protagonist is Asian who escaped from San Fierro to live a peaceful life. Fitting since San Francisco has a huge Asian population, but from the looks of it that’s not gonna happen.
Drunk posting? Anyways Vice City took place in the mid 1980s not the 70s and Tommy was born in '51 apparently so he would be in his early 60s. GTA III with Claude was in the early 2000s and GTA: SA took place in the early 90s. CJ was probably in his late 20s by the events of GTA:SA so he would be in his late 30s or mid 40s for GTA V. Claude can’t be the main character because he’s mute. I don’t expect to see any GTA IV characters, it was too soon to see them again. Maybe as a couple cameos.
Still though Tommy moving to LA for either the weather or being a family man <Insert Guile Theme Joke here> doesn’t really work
A. The weather in Los Santos as it would’ve been in Vice City, hot most of the year since they’re both in Southern areas.
B. If he was just saying that because he didn’t know what to say and just said he wanted to start a family man. It doesn’t match Tommy’s personality, he’s a cold blooded, merciless, power-hungry, murderer. CJ and Niko were both dragged into the Underworld life unwillingly but it’s like a part of Tommy’s personality he was far down the immoral lines than those two. Unless Tommy had a huge personality makeover and change of heart I don’t see how that fits him at all.
C. Ray Liota was confirmed not to do any VA for GTA V? I don’t know how people hear this but supposdely so and without the VA you can’t have Tommy.
GTA III: Italian-American
GTA Vice City: Italian-American
GTA San Andreas: African-American
GTA IV: Serbian
GTA IV: Lost and Damned: Jewish-American (Israeli?)
GTA IV: Ballad of Gay Tony: Dominican-American
GTA Liberty City Stories: Italian-American
GTA Vice City Stories: African-American
GTA: Chinatown Wars: Chinese
They’ve done asian technically but they have yet to make it in a full game I agree.
how the fuck do you know if claude is a wop? sure that spiked hair-style would imply he’s a greasy mofo, but for all we know, he could be a Irish, or Armenian.
no drunk postin… dates are incorrect. my point being tommy can be in the game just older due to the timeline of the events of Vice City. Im sayin claude cant cause they have him as a mute an he really doesnt have a back story like that. i also was point out how him cameo in the SA story with CJ basically showed SA took place before GTA3… i dont want claude anyway.
as far as tommy he does refer to leaving vice city in the game itself… as far as him changin his life for family…hell no. Business of expanding his ‘empire’ he took over… yes. ray liota doesnt have to come back… tommy is older now so again the voice can alter. i agree with u on his morals are cold that would make him more ‘godfather’ like in todays world due to changes…
again we shall find out. i dont want claude… i want tommy, cj, and/or luis/gaytony…
You see and hear evidence of the GTA3 style games in GTA4 though, as I mentioned earlier. You go to one of the mob bosses restaurants, and you see ads with CJ and others in the game. So technically, they’re all the same continuity
“Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather, or you know…that thing…that magic. I wanted to retire you know, get out of this line of work. Be a good guy for once, be a family man. So I bought a big house and my kids? we’d play ball and sit in the sun…but you know how it is”
That opening monologue…somehow it’s just beautiful the way it is it’s like the perfect set up for an epic story. Props to the script AND the VA.
no they were real. CJ was up in the billboard all bling’d out. You can call it a shoutout if you want, but he is RIGHT THERE ON THE BILLBOARD. Nuff said.
And the restaurant you go to, is clearly the one from the previous game, still owned by the same people.
I’ve always just viewed the entire GTA series as being in one crazy world
GTA V will have 3 protagonists which can be swapped at any time…and the gameworld is to be bigger than Red Dead Revolver, San Andreas, and GTAIV combined.
