Green Lantern TAS: There may be hope

(In my defense, specs, I keep forgetting this thread exists–because it rarely gets bumped–and the new SRK is still…difficult to navigate.

Yeah. From what I remember correctly the “godly space fish” is named Ion, Embodiment of Willpower and all that.

Yea, Ion is the embodiment of Will. There are different ones for each color of the Emotional Spectrum.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_spectrum

The Butcher is Rage (Red)
Ophidian is Greed (Orange)
Parallax is Fear (Yellow)
Ion is Will (Green)
Adara is Hope (Blue)
Proselyte is Compassion (Indigo)
The Predator is Love (Sapphire)
The Predator doesn’t sound very loving.

Reactions to the episodes in this thread makes me wonder what the suits at CN are thinking. Would it have been so hard to expand DC Nation to two hours? Nah, gotta kill the good shows to make room for the new shows. If I had my own animated series, there is no way I’d put it on CN. How many more eps of GL do we have until… Sigh the end?

Holy shit there’s so much awesome things going on right now… whoahhhhh and the hits just keep coming… goddamn this show is on FIRE right now with the entertainment value! Unbelievable…

This broad has already become one of my favorite supervillains of all time at this point.

Do we have confirmation that CN really is cancelling GL:TAS? Because FUCK man the suspense…

Episode was pretty nice. I actually wanted to cringe a bit when Aya-Moniter straight up split Anti-Moniter’s head open. She put her thumbs on his eyes and ripped it open like she was ripping a piñata.

Yea, when she said “I have a counter-proposal” and then proceeded to rip his head in half. I was like “DAYUM.”

Yes we have confirmation. On that and YJ.

lol At the Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart reference last ep. “The fake news guy?”

And yeah, Aya has gotta go, shit’s been pushed too far.

(Yeah, Aya’s probably going to have to die now, especially since it was just explicitly said the Anti-Monitor, like her, is…er, was alive. So she basically just go away with murder right in front of “our heroes”, to say nothing of the countless people she’s supposedly already killed off-screen.)

Speaking of sad news, when is the last episode of Green Lantern? This Saturday like with Young Justice? Later? Or is it not yet known?

Anyway, on a lighter note, I found this done by Razer’s actual voice actor, who is apparently the same guy that does Wally West’s voice on Young Justice. It is…most amusing:

Man, I feel like an idiot for not getting that reference now, especially since that name joke was made a ton when the JLU was on. I just thought here it meant that John Stewart in this continuity was a report that Guy didn’t have respect for, but he’s probably still an architecture or whatever he was after getting out of the military (?).

This Saturday are the Series Finales for both GL and YJ.

One thing I don’t get about this soon to be over series, some episodes you see the Lanterns straight up handle the Manhunters with no problem and wipe the floor with them and then other episodes they run from the Manhunters like they’re the boogeyman. Maybe I’m missing something.

Can’t believe they ended it there, ugggggggggggh.

Razer gone to find dat digi-pussy.

Well this was left on less of a hanging thread than YJ, though damn it I wanted to see Blue Lantern Razer…

And like we all thought…Aya’s final redemption is death.

(Yeah, I figured he would get a Blue Ring, but I didn’t think they’d tease it so blatantly at what is now the series finale.)

Well…shit. It would seem that both characters Jason Spisak voice just can’t catch a break, though Razer at least has “Great Hope”.

Still, I find it funny how humanoid-robot romance has more feeling than most human romances in media. I suppose it helped diffuse my ire that there was never a love triangle (unless Emotionlessness was a suitor).

It’s probably because in most other episodes they’re swarmed by Manhunters and in this episode they were kinda, you know, desperate to stop the universe from ending. So it’s not like running away from them is an option, even if the Manhunters usually are “boogeymen”; these versions didn’t ever show themselves outright capable of (actively) absorbing energy from what I remember though.

It also helps that, as shown through out this entire last episode, Aya was subconsciously holding back. Hell, she said “hold them off” rather “destroy them!” or “kill them!” for starters, which is what the Manhunters were pretty much always trying to do before she took them over.

I was wondering how they were going to wrap things up in one episode.

GL:TAS didn’t let me down. Amazing ending. Two minor gripes: no Sinestro and no Red Lanterns besides Razer. Otherwise, bravo.

I’m going to miss this show. :frowning:

So powerful for a Saturday morning show… I wonder how many fans “got somethin’ in their eye” on this one…

*The possible continuation if there was another season— I’d bet he would’ve eventually found her again out there, under the premise of “energy is neither created or destroyed”/reincarnation or something like that… the part of her essence that was a living energy would emerge as a new woman(theoretically it could be a male as well but they’d of course keep it female and noticeably similar for the sake of convenience) elsewhere, perhaps?

*eh, the threads should’ve been just one “DC Action Block” for both shows…well, it’s obviously too late for that now. This might seriously have been the greatest one-two punch in the history of Saturday morning animated shows… yes, better than the Spiderman/Xmen combo in the early 90s.

goodness gracious Megann is so hot… such a shame she’s only a cartoon character. No, I don’t care that her humanoid form is a lie. The artist/designer on YJ made all the girls ridiculously hot.

There may be hope…
