Thanks for coming out everyone, especially the new guys!!!
We had a pretty good turnout even with the absence of most of the classic round robin mainstays, and this was the most quickly and well done robin experience so far. I’ll be donating $10 for the monitor next round robin, which will also be a monitor fund charity robin (entry fee is doubled with the extra going towards the STL community monitor). If we can just come up with $100 or so, scamp has graciously said he will match the donations of everyone else combined. Really no reason not to make this happen with the growing need for setups and the streaming that will be going down soon. Results of last nights robin and more details on the upcoming monitor event soon!
rex u never got back to me on anything…anyways im moving out to foristell soon (fairly close)im willing to bring monitor 360 game etc to any rr i could attend.im getting divorced at the end of aug:crybaby:. and will have much more time to play ssf4.i know u guys are much better than me but id like to get my ass kicked around to make me better.any ways hit me up @ HannaH KatanA on xbl im barely on srk so thats would be the best bet

Fist off hey to all. You guys don’t know me but I guess that’s okay. I’ve been wandering the forums for some time looking for a tourney ANYWHERE in STL regardless of size. I see you guys have some kind of thing going on and I was wondering if it would be cool if I can attend these tourneys. IMO, and maybe factually, STL’s scene is nearly non existent but I would love to help increase the size. I know you guys are also looking for some monitors and stuff. I have a few that I would be more than willing to donate because frankly, they’re not being use. They’re crt’s so I hope it’s okay. I think I have 2-3. 2 are small and the 3rd is huge so moving it will be a bitch. Let me know what you guys think, as again, I’d be more than thrilled to attend. My skill are not fantastic but they aren’t scrubby either. I also have 2 brothers who play it, nearly, as much as I do and are also looking to join tourneys. However they only play SF while I play both BB and SF. Anyway, good luck with everything and I look forward to hearing from you guys.
Good to hear from yah. Sucks alot of players new to SRK don’t know about the matchmaking forums. We have had monthly tournaments since the release of the original sf4 :D. I’ll get yah a PM with more info soon, just got back from a tournament in KC and ima peace out.
Thanks guys and yes it really does suck that a lot of the community…at least the new members…don’t know about the mm forums. When I actually found out about it I nearly flipped lol. But wow is STL’s scene big? I had know idea. But than again is that saying much for the mid west. I do have to say that the mid west as been growing.
Dang. Not sure why BB doesn’t catch on. It’s a fun game and though it may seem like it caters to a certain niche (that of anime) it’s does it’s best to be unique aside from all the similarities to GG. I tried to get my friend into BB but he’s just “put off” by the anime style of the game. He’s budging though cause for him SSF4 is too slow and he wants a deeper fighting engine. Either way hopefully it’ll catch on within its lifespan and not a decade from now lol. Than would suck.
This upcoming tuesday at 7pm. Lots of hype donation grudge matches will be going down too. Nobody vs Scamp, MrK vs Rex, Luger vs Scamp, and much much much more. Lets get this monitor people!

i will money match anyone. you can choose ANY character in the game for me to choose. but i get to pick how much we play for since that is the format(i’m sure we can come to an agreement, i’ll be lenient with pricing). from 1cent to $20+. so basically, if you tell me to play hakan, i’ll play you for a penny so it wouldn’t even be worth it. and like if you want me to play cammy, ryu, or honda, i’ll MM you for $5 - $50 if you want depending on how confident you are, if you’re really confident, put $50 out there if not, you can put $5 on the line. a character like guile, viper, or someone i’m good with but not great with could run around $1 to $10 depending on how i feel the matchup is or how strong my opponent is. but the MM’s are optional, i’m just throwing them out there in case anyone wants it.
