i recall a boxer vs viper match at como. bad match up for viper. i dont see every match allen has, but from stories he’s told me, outside of honda, he’s RARELY plays a good match up.
conclusion…rex is ALWAYS counter picking in casuals(excluding new school).

LoL its an inside joke cuz when i play allen one on one, he literaly waits for me to pick a character and then switches his lol. I was picking rog only vs allen cuz we only had time for a few games anyway. Conclusion- we need to play another one on one set soon ^_^. Tommorow perhaps??? pleeeeeeease :).

This wednesday, 7pm, $5 entry with mandatory $5 donation to enter. We will have some “donation” matches that will get hype, basically money matches where the funds go to the monitor. Scamp vs Nobody being the main event, GRUDGE MATCH TIME!!!
First, I didn’t intend on playing a donation MM. Second, if there’s not another set up there, I’m not going to MM. So we can either play on the 2nd set up, wait til we get the monitor, or not do it at all. I wanna play, but I’m not putting myself at what I feel is a distinct disadvantage with the bigscreen.
I really don’t mean to come off whiney or bitchy, or cowardous. I do wanna have the match I assure you. But I’ll only RR and casual on Rex’ screen.
I can actually make this one, so I can bring the PS3 on Rex’s side tv for you to have your matches on. I’ll have to find a secret hype song to play on in the background during the fights, but leave that to me.

Rex doesn’t have that TV anymore. That’s one of the reasons we need a monitor. Truth be told, we’ll prolly need another as well. But, baby steps. Baby steps.

I still have a second tv, and we may even have a third setup so dont worry the match WILL go down. It doesn’t have to be a donation match, but i encourage others to partake in a donation match.
Oh and about needing a second monitor, me and scamp were talking and really we should keep the fund open even after we get the first. Maybe every 4-5 robins be fundraisers or something.

Yeah seems like it’d make sense. Also, that way, we can have someone else have a setup, like Kiet or Glen or Scamp (or at the very very least myself), so just in case Rex can’t make a battle camp, one of these who can will be able to bring one by. Maybe we should try doing one in about a month, skipping one RR.
Are you guys ONLY trying to play on a lag-less HD tvs, or do you mind using some crts? I told you before that I won’t mind taking mine over there and leaving it. I’m not using them so if they can be put to use, even as just a holdover, I’d be more than happy to send them.
Yeah CRTs are fine. Our second setup is typically a CRT, and probably will be until after this RR
Kool. Whenever you want me to I can drop these off. Again they’re nothing special but at least I can do my part in trying to help expand the scene. Also, one of them has a little dis-figuration but nothing that should stop the gaming being done. You’ll see it. Also as much as I would love to attend one of these, unfortunately I wont be able to as Wednesdays are my busiest. Happy gaming all and hopefully you’ll be able to have fun on these and eventually buy the other one you’re working up now. 
Hey all. Stumbled across SRK and these forums the other day and these Round Robins sound fun. Played a ton of fighters growing up and lately have been getting back into them quite a bit. While I am not at the level you guys are at, hopefully I can at least make the matches interesting.
RR is tomorrow night, right?
Yes round robin is tonight at 7pm. I have class before but i should be back by 6-6:30.
This robin is a special monitor fund RR (which will be every 5 robins, a great way to start building up stuff for the community to share). Meaning a mandatory $5 donation towards the community monitor fund will be needed to enter. Even needed to attend, for those who like to show up for casuals. We really hope to have raised enough to buy the first of many community monitors. These monitors will be used for round robins, KTH’s stl training grounds stream, Kurasa’s aerial raves and battlecamps, and just hookups in general.
This is your chance to give back to the community. Kurasa holds tournaments and battle camps, Me and KTH try to host hookups as much as possible and give ya’ll crack heads a place to improve, and of course Player levels us up and makes sure team STL makes it to maxout and columbia hookups. This is everyone elses chance to help the community and do more than just show up and play.
Also its great to see the ammount of new players these round robins are bringing out. If your new to the boards and are just lurking around, PLEASE don’t be afraid to post up and join the St. Louis area fighting game community.
