IIRC, you can always alpha counter the unblockable when you AC the first hit of the demon flip. Even AC’s that involve sweeps(like v-charlie’s) work. I’m sure those take a different timing to it though, where the sweep has to hit when Akuma lands on the ground.
I’ve only got the timing with A-Guy’s AC vs the unblockable.
I guess you’re saying that the flip is already in place? If so, that’s not possible you’ll wake up in time to AC the first hit of the demon flip everytime.
If he’s smart, he’d screw with the timing of his demon flip and just let his opponent open themselves up attempting the AC, and the moves will just have them pop up.
Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. You whiff the demon flip on them as they’re getting up and then when they are up, you just c.LK and it breaks their guard immediately.
I forgot what the set-up was, but I’ve seen Bas and a couple others do it.

The december event had following battles. The 2on2 tournament, a 7on7 Team Battle (Team white vs Team Crimson ^^) VER against 13 players and a Nash player up against 13 players. The special event is not online yet and I hope it will come online. I hope it will.
Anyway we get to see VER, Rattan and ZM beasting on their opponents, and VER against ZM. I was looking forward to this match since the last time they fought VER destroyed ZM, but this time…
This vid features two V-Ken players. And the Blanka player (got 3rd place with Dan and Ryu in the UZVI) playes V-ism this time. Oh, A2 was there. A2 made a VC combo video a long time ago. A lot of you will know it. It’s also on combovids I think. He’s a Juni player. But he didn’t enter the december tournament just the special events. Anyway download yourself the good stuff!

Blanka player was way more careful than he needed to be. That’s a lousy match for Cody if he doesn’t have meter. He blew a bunch of chances to lock him into 2-hit GC. He was making it way too easy for VER. If I tried to hopkick on Sparatik’s Blanka like that, I’d get raped by rolls.
Matches against V-Akuma can go either way no matter how good you are. If you blow your meter, you’re probably done for that round.

Watching those other videos, it seems like everybody’s doing corner VC resets now.
Also, that Dan player had some pretty good pressure.
I still think he’s better than Juli, just because he’s got better normals and he gets free gale kick pressure on everybody without a DP. Plus his pushblock gets him out of a ton of unblockable/GC situations.

Kyokuji: Yeah you’re right. Dan is better than Juli, you could treat it like a fact. Juli is a “empty” character.
And you’re right about the play style. No japanese player plays like, let’s say 2003 anymore. Thoses days are gone. UZVI showed us perfectly how to play A3 nowadays. The UZVI inspired me like no other A3 tournament. (and players like VER and Crusher who pushed their character to a never seen skill level.)

Hi, look at those vids. We have Tugu the low-tier player going on with Ken/Dan/Rose V-ism everything. Please people, look what this beast is doing with Ken and Rose! He’s doing something with Rose, that I never knew before. TS, this is must see for you! He’s doing a great link, a really great link, that almost granted this V-Rose player a perfect against a V-Akuma. But he also does this link against a V-Sodom. Everyone. Look for yourself and enjoy! ^_~

PS: Is that something that is relatively unkown to Rose players? I asked Iczer (a good Rose player ^_~) but he can’t get online. (since the weekend it seems) Maybe TS could say something about it.

I found 2 vids on a website. Two special combos. A Nash combo done in a match. The vid is called something with 18 Frames (Matunash18F). In this vid it seems that the opponent can’t flip. (there was a discribtion called:“from three years ago”) But I don’t know what that means. If they first performed this combo with Charlie three years ago, or if they first discovered this combo three years ago.
Then there’s a interesting Ken combo that I can’t reproduce. (This combo is performed on the Alpha Anthology ^_^) He does in the corner. cr.short, cr.short XX medium shouryuken for a 3 hit combo. The discribtion for this vid was:" The three hit challange."
And it seems that you need a special “trick” to make this combo work. Something like a third cr.short but kara’ed in a medium shouryu. (it’s not like that I believe, I just wanted to give a suggestion.)

You probably need to kara his toward+RH move. It moves him forward. But, I don’t know – I’ll test it later.
Relatively unknown, yes. Mostly because I’m a dumbass, and didn’t consider that it could be done. Crouching Jabx2 probably a little better for the hit confirm, but using crouching Short x2 is probably easier; the Short doesn’t cancel into itself so the the timing from the first Short to the second, and then from the second to the VC activation are both exactly the same.
