Umm… I don’t really get the point of your post, and you sound like you’re trying to pass off opinion as fact.
If that’s your opinion, cool. Don’t play A3 if you don’t like it, just play something else and have fun, ok? But posting up on SRK that the game is boring or “not SF” based on opinion and other random bullshit reasons is fucking unnecessary and I personally don’t think anyone really gives a shit.
If you want to talk shop or prove a point, then do it. You know what’s really boring? arguing about bullshit.
Ok, what to say? They just started to play A3. I have a bad feeling that they just a three month special event. Three month of A3. But I hope I’m wrong! Anyway, this time they made a Ranking Battle event (a true Ranking with RoundRobbin) and a tournament. And I “leeched” the vids from there server. It’s not directly on their site. Like Vegascup arcade match vids. They just started to play the game. So we can see X-Gief, V-Adon, of course A-Dictator. We see a X-Sakura perfecting V-Akuma. (showing off good doujioshi cancels) and in their tournament one Chun-Li does CC into the corner to dizzy. But finnaly the V-Sak wins the tournament against one A-Bison. I will upload this tournament vids tomorrow. (if you want to see them?) but for now I’ll give you the 400mb Ranking Battle vids from a japanese arcade who just started to play A3. ^^ (the november event were the RB and the tournament.)
Thanks for the vids. Too bad there ain’t no A or X-Kens in there, I’d like to see how others fare with him. Anyway, I’m hyped enough to get in some laggy games on Kaillera tonight
It’d be cool to have A3 return to Evo, or just tournament play in general. At least, so long as people can stray away from V-Ism for a bit, and use more of the character roster.
I got new stuff from japan! Directly from Crusher Homepage! This time we get to see “special” appearance from Magical (but he plays V-Gouki ^^) and Inbe with Guy.
Crusher is in best form like we use know him. But remember, it’s only casual with friends. ^_~
PS: On his site it is stated that you need the newest Quick Time player to watch the vids. And somehow I really can’t watch the vids with anyother player, because if I try then the vids will only be 4 seconds long. Anyway it’s worth to download the newest Quick Time Player, because the Matches are good. The have set the arcade to have three rounds, so we have long detailed matches. So get those vids now!
I just discovered 3 new Matches today! ^^
The discription was “rare”. We will see two Matches with a V-Dan against a V-Sakura. And a rare apprearance from “DDT” (I know he has a zero3 homepage, but never knew, that when he play’s that this could be “rare”. ^^)
Anyway the last match is A-Gen vs X-Chun-Li.
No, not qiuck time only this time. (didn’t you watch them because they were quick time?)
Btw, some other german user has put up those two V-Dan matches on youtube, because he’s such a Dan fan.
Dan vs Sakura 1
Dan vs Sakura 2
PS: But he made like two “typos”. First he said the Dan player is called “DDT” and it’s not really the case and he stated that the “source” of those matches is Hardedge.eu. Ok, he found the megaupload link there, but the first and original source isn’t hardedge.eu. (but I think nobody will blame him. I will tell him and then he can correct it.)
Nice matches. He blew his meter in that second one though. Why waste meter trying to counter 5 FP’s from Sakura?
What would the point of that be? Just because you pretend it’s not there, doesn’t mean it isn’t. A3 has some sloppy ass footsies anyway. Without V, that game isn’t all that interesting to watch, and Chun’ and Dhalsim end up running the whole thing. Ban the infinites maybe, but not VCs.
Kyokuji is right IMHO, V-ISM makes it possible for more chars to compete. For real, alone for V-ISM the game gets a wider Top Tier and High Mid Tier range of chars then most games get. Alpha 3 is one of the few games were high mid chars can be effectivly used in tournies and I like that, I really like that … 3rd gets a bit boring after a while, because you just don’t see as many chars to see and doing well. In the end it also often comes down in A3 to Akuma, Sakura, Gief and Sim, but Sagat, Cody, Sodom, Guy, Ryu, Charlie, Vega etc. can all still compete well with them while 3rd is a lot more restriceted. Bah I maybe talked to much here, but I guess at least someone got my point.
lomo the kid, can you please give me an idea how to watch this Quicktime videos? Because i have Huge problems with prog, its not working on my PC (yeah i tried PC version)
You just should download the latest quicktime player and everything should work just fine, at least that worked for me. ^^
Attention! =)
Hi, I wanted to do us all a big favour and uploaded 1 batch up that comes from the Vegascup Arcade! It’s from the November event. Tomorrow I’ll give you the other file I have. But this file alone is so good. Please I don’t talk shit. ^^
Look at VER with his V-Cody doing all his stunts and fake throws, all the a-cho Cody’s look empty compared to him. Look at the V-Dan, V-Ryu and A-Blanka. (Those 3 got on the 3rd place on the UZVI this year.)
They also have beginner players. ^^
It’s a very good view! Please enjoy! And think of it. We’re used to see a-cho, now we can view Vegascup too! (they aren’t on the vegascup arcade page, those vids are on their server, so I downloaded them there and putted them up on megaupload.)
V-Akuma’s the one character that really kills the game balance aside from Dhalsim and Chun’ who’re a little too user friendly and create a lot of bad match-ups.
Everytime he activates, whether you’ve whiffed anything or not, you’re guaranteed to either take damage or lose guard meter.
I can easily just use his unblockable, run away until I have meter, and then do it again until you’re dead.
It’s especially troublesome if you’re using A, because you likely won’t be able to get meter fast enough to always have an alpha counter ready, and even if you do, you’ll eventually have such a small guard meter, that you’ll be getting GC’ed in like 2 hits. Plus, if he’s smart, he can start the unblockable from a knockdown so you don’t have any opportunity to AC at all.
I use Cody so I’m lucky. I can dodge the initial fireball and then counter VC when he demon flips.
Now the first part from the November event! Again, very high level gaming. Including Top players from the Vegascup arcade, but also players on a beginner level!
One Gouki mirror gets time outed twice because they trying to bait a VC and then counter activate, this is an awesome match.
We will watch A-Gouki, V-Rose, 1 good Karin and 1 beginner Karin. And we see VER beasting on most of his opponents. And one great V-Dhalsim. This guy just plays with his enemies.
