Yujiro doesn’t deserve to go out like this. Hoping he pulls the “I was holding back” card and gives Baki the beating of his life.

i love yujiro and still think hes the best, but im actually enjoying baki making him bleed right now, cause im sure its far from over. yujiros still using his same old techniques. hes not respecting baki, and now he has to. we bout to see some real blow for blow shit go down here over the next few weeks.
I think the main problem with New Waves is the pacing of Shioon’s revival, I mean it’s been 66 chapters already, re.build.his.fucking.ki.center.already.
Don’t you think that Yujiro’s guard just was caught off by Baki? I mean Baki used an axe kick, the favourite Yujiro’s attack, on Yujiro himself. Kicks (legs) are slower than punches (hands), so Yujiro is just surpised by Baki’s raw power. When he still could block attack, he completetely missed it like he got 3 times slower than before, but just 5 minutes ago (manga) we saw Ogre’s speed is superior to speed of Baki. It reminds me Kaku situation: Kaku’s punches weren’t really dangerous for Ogre, but he just didn’t expect such a good resistance from an old man, so he stepped back. Kaku even send Ogre flying. But when Yujiro took control over the situation and pulled himself together, Kaku couldn’t even move Ogre. When Baki did this kick, Yujiro made his eyes looked round. It’s not like Doppo’s attack that he couldn’t even see. He SAW its movement. And didn’t deflect it? I see no other reason than Baki’s abilities just shocked Baki, but now, just after when Yujiro tasted Baki’s power, he gets up, stops feeling sorry for Baki (no more “i’ll slam ya to the car softer not to let ya die before you awakened” kinda things), unleashes all his mighty, and we’ll finally see what we call a real “clash of the titans”? Maybe Yujiro has his Oni brain too.
I would be dissapointed if Baki wins so easily. Untouchable Baki? Yujiro’s a mad man, and his dream is freakin crazy too. No way it becomes true… even if Baki wins, it must much harder than we saw in 295? The most formiddable dude in this series and the final boss can’t fall with such ease.

-His cackling grin as he broke Retsu Kaioh’s neck in a full attempt to kill him. He even took Yuujirou’s stance before attacking him. -
New Grappler Baki
-His attempt to kill Sikorvsky for attacking Kozue. And he was ready to kill Yanagi to protect Kozue.
-The most obvious one being him trying to kill Ali Jr. in the underground arena, which was only stopped by Ali Sr.
3.Son of Ogre:
-Numerous panels show his face twisting in imitation of his father, while talking as his pops would talk.
-His attempting to kill Oliva when the Oni muscles awakened, he didn’t miss him on purpose, he missed him because Oliva fainted.
-His sadistic taunting of Jack after the third loss to Pickle, shouting out that Jack’s life as a fighter was over
-Smashing out one of Pickle’s fangs for standing in front of Yuujirou, though it was done to show Pickle not to interfere, he could’ve done that another way
-Now he’s (possibly) attempting to kill Ogre.

*This is one of my most hated pages btw, Jack was one of my favorite characters, and it sucks seeing him job so that a lazy protagonist can look good.

Jack is my 2nd favourite char after Yujiro. Agreed with your statement. But Ogre does it too. “What kinda idiot loses twice in day?” and and the following lection with advices how to bite properly - that was damn baddass “taking care” of our beloved junkiehead!! As well as “go play ayatori in your corner, boy” trash talk to Katsumi. Baki seems to be a simple gimmick jackass, but Yujiro does it in so badass way that it even looks cool.
Baki musn’t do so, it’s not fitting for him.

Yeah i am completely caught up with that series. After the whole kid prison thing it actually gets pretty good, though Ryo is just annoying as hell and just a terrible person no matter how you put it. But yeah it isn’t too bad.
If you left off from the anime, you got a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy to go, you still need to read all of New Grappler Baki, THEN Son of Ogre. If you want to go straight to the fight we’re takling about, start with the SoO chapter The Last Supper, that’s where it kicks off.
