Hi, i’m an Italian fan of Baki the Grappler, i’ve read all of this mangas multiple times and i’m glad to see that you guys know this series as well.
I should say, though, that you are a bit harsh towards Baki, at times. For example, i’ve read comments stating that Yujiro didn’t use the Ogre Back against Baki and that Kaku Kaioh did better than him against Yujiro.
But that’s just not true, Yujiro did use Ogre Back against Baki, and yes, he was stronger but Baki was way stronger than Kaku Kaioh by the end of Son of Ogre.
Also remember the Pickle Fight: Kaku Kaioh sai that he would have faked death agaisnt Pickle, and this when Baki was making Pickle his bitch. This implies that Baki > Kaku Kaioh even in that moment.
And remember that Baki was way stronger than Pickle, globally. He won the fight but decided to try a strength contest like he did against Oliva and lost against Pickle’s superior strenght, but there is no question that Baki was by far the better fighter. As i said, he won the fight and lost the strenght’s contest.
After the Pickle fight i’d say that Yujiro > Baki > Pickle > Kaku Kaioh> Oliva > Jack.
New Baki should be on netflix tomorrow or sometime this week. I might be wrong tho. :V
