And I don’t know if anyone still keeps up with Shamo, but if you did, the latest chapters are here. It’s taken some weird slice of life direction with the exit of Hashimoto(the co-writer). I’m not sure if its safe to say it sucks now, it’s more like “where the hell is the story going”?
Slice of life? What the fuck? Wasn’t the main character internally bleeding out?

Akio Tanaka(now the lone writer+artist) then proceeded to basically kill off all of the remaining main characters besides Ryo/Natsumi/Tokichi from the series beginning, with the most random deaths possible. : |
The only one who’s possibly still around is Sugawara but I doubt he’ll make any type of return, and the manga really does seem to be just on random misadventures+slice of life stuff now.
Volume 30 of Shamo didn’t really seem like slice of life to me. The Dobu-gumi are making serious moves, and there was karate at like…every turn.

They’re totally clowns. I like them as villains though, and I’m looking forward to seeing how their next confrontation with Ryo plays out.

Kinda miss playing this game back then. I also need to go back and re-read the Garouden manga. I don’t even remember where I left off.
