is there some trick for dwaynes first mission? cause it seems fucking impossible to catch the guy
strip club just owned my wallet. 250 bucks for 3 friggin dances hahaha.
which reminds me of this little 9 year old kid i saw when i picked up a game and so did his mom for him.
wonder what her reaction she’ll have if she sees her little son watching animated strippers going spread eagle infront of his face, humping another stripper, performing fake fellatio and thats all just addition to the friggin killing and vulgarity of the game haha
I stayed on for a few hours at a time today, ranks aren’t exactly saved… I’ve been at 5.5k for the past few days lol.
TDM and DM are the only modes worth playing. Mafia/Team Mafia are awful, they’re boring, take too long to complete and you end up going across Alderney twice just to finish it. Especially with random people that take 15 minutes just to make it back to the rendezvous point and NOT get into the actual area that ends the match. Wasted 20 mins for these guys and ended up quitting.
Race is ehh… you can’t exactly set up roadblocks since they magically disappear.
Noose suffers the same shit as Mafia. Easy money if you’re not playing with retards.
Only mode I haven’t tried is Turf War.
Oh and melee weapons only is dumb, as soon as someone gets a car it’s gg until you get your own and manage to knock them on their roof so they’re forced to get out.
I agree with what you’re saying, but keep things in perspective. Genesis games used to cost $60, while Super Nintendo games ran at $70. Worse still, third-party N64 games cost $80-90. Our kick-back ended, that’s all.
But as you say, regardless of the price, your game should be finished and ready to play out of the box.
See, you’re the second person to say this and I really don’t remember Genesis, SNES, and N64 games costing anywhere close to that much. Not saying it’s untrue, I just really don’t remember them being that expensive.
u just gotta keep up playa… i caught him wit no problem. just a reminder to all… remember you can change the controls back to the CLASSIC mode so shootin an driving can be simple.
carmen an kiki… again… love them broads… haven’t tried any other chicks… should i know of any??
kate… i can’t wait to figure out WHY im datin this borin chick…zzzzzzzzz
think i got bout 10 more achievements left…
are there a lot of items to unlock in multiplayer?
i really want a pink wig for my deathmatch prostitute
wow…Katt williams at the comedy club. This game is crazy…
I don’t think anyone will have an answer cause it’s hard to find SERIOUS games of Multiplayer GTA IV
Currently at 56% completion…
I can either finish the game tonight or study for a final I have tomorrow :wonder:
lol
I looked f’real - I didn’t see a heart, I know how to play don’t worry lol
i was wondering if you get anything for having a 100% friendship with someone. i thought i saw somewhere u get a jamaican patriot for jacob. is this true?
thoughts on GTA4
To sum it up quickly, I’d call it two steps forward one step back.
Graphics, story and pacing are all better than ever. The missions are really fun (though less diverse).
The step back is all the stuff they took out, mostly weapons and property is what bugs me. What the hell is the point of getting a pile of cash that I have no use for? Its like japanese RPGs, money is just a bother early on in the game, as you try to scrape together enough for weapons, but eventually you just find everything you need and there is nothing worth buying. Its supposed to be rags to riches tale of the american dream, so let me buy cool cars, a 30 car garage and 600 dollar sunglasses. What irked me is that they decided to keep the “dating sim” element. Probably my least favorite part of SA was getting paged or whatever to do something and being penalized for not doing it. Your friends have an annoying habbit of asking you out when you are like, 2 feet away from a mission marker, and then they like you less for declining. When you think about the game as a sequel to gta3 and not SA, the ommissions of things like different cities and planes alot more forgiveable. Still, I want a katana and the shopping channel wont let me buy it, what a tease. The TV and internet are very amusing, but it balanced by a dissapointing radio, IMO, nothing has been able to come close to VCPR (There blood and pubic hair everywhere!). Rock and metal stations have also been better in earlier games. Maybe its just me or my disk or something, but it seems like I am always listening to the same stuff, I cant listen to the talk radio stations anymore because I have heard everything like a million times, what are they, like, 20 minutes loops? Im tired of that riding with my top down song that has a guy shouting out to all of his bohan cats.
The core fundamentals of the game: driving and combat are still good, they just need some getting used to. I can understand why people don’t dig the realism, but people who have only played the first 20 minutes of the game are going to be using bad cars and have no knowledge of the physics/city, of course you are going to crash into everything you see. Cover system is a nice addition, without dominating combat. I think hand to hand combat is better than ever, rather than just mashing buttons until your opponents die you have to time attacks and block. All that being said I dont think its that different from the other gta games, and if you didnt like them, this one wont do much for you. Also, while fewer, the random glitches common in sand box games are present.I’d give it 85 to 90 out of 100.\
I’d compare this game to The elder scrolls 4: oblivion. Morrowind was bigger and had more stuff, but oblivion was better looking and more stream lined (taxis are a lot like fast travel when you think about it). Oblion and gta had some pretty big shoes to fill, so it should be no suprise people were shocked and hurt when their unreasonable expectations were not fufilled.
Also, if anyone knows where or how to find a katana please let me know.
I think the devs knew players would have an abundance of cash due to lack of buyable assets, thus the 360 achievement for having half a million.
I just feel like there are certain elements that could’ve added to the game’s scenic realism. What’s the point of bus stops when you don’t see any buses on the road?
I usually suck at GTAs, and even I’m finding the missions extremely easy. Did Snow Storm mission… was 2 bullets away from getting killed, but that’s only because I started running towards my car too quick and got shredded by gun fire (still passed it though!). I’m reading about so many people beating it and having 100% already, and I’m like… damn. As hyped as the game was, it seems like its going to fizzle out sooner than expected. It isn’t like SA, where somebody would just randomly pop in the game and decide to go sky diving, play basketball, buy property or any of the insane amount of things you can do. GTA4 feels limited in comparison. I guess SA spoiled me.
But yeah, I agree with some of what Kromo said.
as for some tid bits
buses… you will see more 2nd island near you heliport after a few mission done by Ray the Mafia guy
annoying phone. you can turn it off. yes off… when you are about to head to a mission or simply driving around an don’t wont to be bothered by homies or hoes… turn it off. just like a real celly the moment you turn it back on the moment you will get bombarded…lol
i miss the planes… yeah i understand they took them out cause of the whole 9-11 ish… but did anyone see that 747 at the airport??? i would love to fly that thing…goodness
the turismo is the best handling/speed car so far imo.
bikes seem to be more loose than ever…
loving the story lines… im sucked into them at the moment.
i hate the non buying ish factor (homes, cars…etc.)
lack of people… im not trippin on it… but i can understand due to it being a duplicate of NYC BUT you have to understand they didnt want you running into the SAME person all the time. Plus I am not trippin off it.
Dwaynes goons are give n take depending on the mission honestly. keep forgetting to call my own cousin for cab rides… kiki lawyer ability works up to three stars during NON MISSIONS an 2 on MISSIONS…nothin like leavin in the middle of a shootout grab a hotdog an rejoin the shoot out
cover system?? gernades + m16 an call it a night … Combat?.. get ya knife… lock on an tap the block/dodge button till the enemy swings an start to cuttin… simple as 1.2.3.
mission combo: take cab to mission… call jacob… redirect cab to jacob… vest + weapons go do mission an put in work.
anyone else got a crazy guy outside their door talkin out of their mind?
yeah… lovin this shyt.
i just wanted to say that i’m loving the cabs, best addition by far.
getting drunk and trying to run away from the cops is probably the hardest shit ever though, it took me awhile before i realized that i was swerving bcuz i was drunk rather than a tire being shot out.
This game is bomb so far… I havn’t had time to get really deep into it, just done a few missions for the Cousin, Vlad, and Jacob… oh yea, I banged that first girl you met already too Im assuming since I met her as part of the storyline everyone meets her? (Michelle?) What a slut
Anyhows - good stuff so far. Havn’t touched the multiplayer yet but plan on diving in once I get a little more familiar with the game.
People got 100% already?? must have a LOT of time on their hands… seriously.
THIS!
Everytime i turn the Rap shit on, this is the first fucking song that plays.
MP is off the chain, sooo many things you can do…Example would be staying in a Burger King in Times Square with SWAT coming for you…
