The talk of Justin not using Phoenix…it’s not like he isn’t using a great team himself. In fact, Ricky Ortiz changed* from* a phoenix team to what Justin uses currently (Wolverine/SheHulk/Akuma).
The difference is Wolvie gets to keep the corner where Wesker loses it to get that damage. I would think everyone would agree giving up the corner for more damage is ever a good idea. (Guaranteed character killing damage aside.)

It’s this little known guy by the name by Katsuda. Nemo has spoken about him a couple of times and says that he’s beaten him and tokido handily and even daigo has trouble with him. Uses Modok, Hsien-ko and Super Skrull and has some amazingly sick tech. This was when Nemo was doing commentary on Nicovideo in a match a couple months back. But of course since Jpn doesn’t show us anything we dunno for sure.

You’re the second person to tell me this. I’m not exactly sold yet. With Wolvie or Magneto, I totally see the point, but Wesker has a strong teleport mixup with them in the middle. The corner is good, don’t get me wrong, but Wesker doesn’t really need it. You can get up to their jump in point pretty easily anyways as Wesker has teleport and good wavedash.
The corner is always advantageous as it limits the opponent’s movement and offensive options while keeping keeping yours relatively the same. Wesker doesn’t benefit from the corner as much as other characters as far as damage/mixup potential, but limiting your opponent’s space and options is a major benefit none the less.
Saying Justin lost to Wolvie and not Phoenix is like saying Nukes played no part in the Cold War even though none were used. Yes tokido’s wolvie landed the blows but it was Phoenix that changed Justin’s gameplay to allow that to happen.
that being said Wolvie is broke as hell but near as bad as Phoenix. Entire teams aren’t assembled and the entire strategies aren’t designed specifically towards wolvie as they are phoenix. She definitely deserves a nerf, and I think it will happen but not in time for Evo. Which leads to the only important question that everyone should be asking right now, "Will Evo ban Phoenix?"

i guess im late to the punch but after this whole section turning into whine about phoenix vs everyone else 3, i really expected to actually see phoenix in a majority of these matches, i was disappointed, she got killed about every time she showed up,he was outplayed. for some reason he represents america for you guys and lost so salt flew in every direction.
I literally didnt see a thing to warrant the phoenix hate, shes over powered but its not evident here.
Wolverine has been this way the whole time this game has been out.
hell one of the few appearances by dark phoenix even included a combo.
