hi guys, my name is Lee Yang. i play street fighter 4 and am patiently waiting for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Xbox 360. My gamertag is “Lis Yaj” and im always up for a match, feel free to save me and invite me for some matches.
now about the grade points, i hate it. its not really rewarding in my opinion. i had a run once where i played against two g2-A fighters and in the finals was a g2-C and i only got 108 points that run… thats almost the same as having a run full of g2-E players. now i know grade point isnt everything, i do get killed by g2-E players sometimes but a run with 70,000+ credit points should be worth much more grade points than a 45,000 credit.
Or more like the competition doesn’t heat up ever since no one is in G-1 yet in the first place. Most of the competition online isn’t that good really.
well yesterday i lost to some dude in the finals, having the credit point totaling up to about 80,000 giving him 110 grade point, still not really rewarding imo.
and cowman, i do play chun li from time to time, i usually play her for the first 2 rounds in g2, then i switch it up and play some other characters.
sup hmoob555, my gold membership ended today, so i’ll have to grab a new one this weekend. but yeah we should play sometimes. everytime i check the leaderboards, your up by another thousand grade points.
i finally made it to g1 last night. thought i give the competition a whirl to see how tough it is, i usually play seth or c.viper first round (i play various characters throughout the run) and after like the 3rd time of losing i realize that you lose 5 grade points on the first round. that’s very discouraging since im the guy who uses champion mode as a training session and would lose for hours on the first match alone. so i decided to stop playing until i do some practice.
hopefully you g1 players will see this and put pity on me and let me win
had something like that happen earlier. fought some G2-A sagat that i perfected one round and got hit once in the second round. makes me question as to how he got in G2-A
Yeah I think there is a mix of good and bad. I played a G2-A in the finals (I am G2-E) and I just stomped on him and I am not that great, but then there are some of those lower G2’s that are pretty amazing. It does take a while to collect enough points to make it to G1.
