Palm through fireballs has a moderate amount of risk attached to it because the palm is punishable on block unless it’s spaced really well or FADC’d. You also have to have either a hair trigger finger or do it on prediction at some ranges. Additionally, sometimes if they throw a slow fireball you’ll get hit out of the palm right before you’d hit them. Finally, you don’t really have to palm through fireballs to win fireball wars. That’s what your broken Hadouken is for.
You know, there’s a big difference between constructive criticism and calling someone out. You just called out the guy who got 4th at Evo because of reasons you don’t mention and because he didn’t palm through a lot of fireballs. That’s, uh, pretty stupid. Also, your grammar is horrible. If you want people to read your posts, use capitals and the spellchecker on your browser. I mean, a few misspellings is fine, but there’s a point where it’s just not worth the effort to decipher.

Gouken’s hadouken is one of the best projectiles in the game.

i main gouken so i know all that stuf,about his palm slide, and no i wasnt calling him out, i jsut mention that his gouken was not all that impressive, since ther was lots of gouekn basic he wasnt doing at all, exp. simple things like srk/palm thru fire balls, or just zone alot more at times he wasnt even thowing fireballs at all or not enough to force a jump in/mistake. i have nothing agianst him and i do know what place he got at evo. bFYI palm thru fbs is good not bad…prety much a free hit lol. another this his lp palm is the one that gets it alot or stop with a fb timing is strict with that one, i just use MP or FP palm, and call it a day with FB wars
i guessing he just picked up gouken, so he might not/oviously now certain stuff about him since lots of ppl dotn play or even pay attention to consoleo char. i know calipower playes in arcade over in cali so maybe that could be another reason.

1st, Don’t rush when you type. You’re not going to win any awards because you could reply to a post faster than anyone else.
2nd, if that last question was directed at Valle, then as I understand it, if Valle need to win a match, he goes with Ryu. So I guess you could call Ryu his “main.”
3rd. Palm through fireball is NOT a free hit. If you’re playing a shoto or projectile character who can recover quickly, then they can block your palm and punish you for it. Palm through fireball is effective, don’t get me wrong. But (EX)Demon Flip is just as good, and you have more options with that.

at that time i was rusty as fuck…and i was trying to dash but it jsut wouldnt…so use to XBL sicnce thats all i ever play. i can never get out to where ppl meet up for OFFLINE COMP. i know all my mistake…some shit jsut would come out too late or ealry my timeign was all fucked up, so mant time s i hit dash after focus and gouekn jsut aint moreing…i play on a ex hori2 … gonna get a t.e stick soon not even use to sanwa…i cant barely thorigh a FB on a te. lol not use to the buttons so sensitiv. ive learn alot more in the last few months since then

My Gouken is weaksauce right now. I was playing Lyquid from KC and I learned from it. I think I took one match or round but I can’t remember.

Saisyu to be honest since that parry to ultra was in training mode I honestly think he configured the ultra to one button. I mean it wasnt done in a live match. Ive seen parry to super and it works but not the Ultra.

Angryman I commend you on your Gouken play. Tactics are hardcore but I cannot deny that balrog put a hurting on you. At one point I had the same problem fighting that character but I found simple tactics that can beat even the most strategic of balrogs. Tactics that put such a hurting that it forces balrog to grab and jump alot (Balrog JUMPING?) Oh yes sir! Never fireball up close, cross-up and neutral jump when you see an opening. Since his head butt doesn’t stop cross ups your good money, also down medium Kick could stop his jumping. Play with focus and parry and that match-up is for the history books. With alot patience and precision in your combos after a while balrog will be like fighting sagat turtle-IN with out the fireballs.
