Nice to see those FADC combos, and the tatsu cancels. It’s no srk x fadc x ultra, but it’s good to see he has more ultra options than just the back throw.
Also, I wish to god they let him link his light attacks into either mediums or heavy attacks in the next SF4. Just letting him link something from low to high to special would drastically improve his game and bump him up a few slots on the tier list.
That Akuma vs. Gouken video with Sanford was definitely eye-opening. I used to think that you couldn’t do anything after doing a two-hit with Gouken’s j.MP, but apparently you can lead into a Super with it. Interesting…
Yeah Gouken has some tools and combos into Ultra, but they’re not that easy. I didn’t see Sanford use any a few posts above me, except for Ex Palm >> FADC >> Ultra. But he had these options too:
-Ex Palm >> DASH >> Ultra
-Ex Tats >> FADC >> Ultra. This one is just EVIL.
I’m noticing that any character who gets right in Gouken’s face such as Bison, Abel, or Yipes’s Ken who did that half the time, Sanford had some pretty big trouble and seemed like he was struggling to get out of pressure strings/the corner. But the Akuma who played distance games with Gouken, Sanford did great.
At -97 on block its enough time to reflect on your bad choices in life as well as the one you just made right then. I pretty much exclusively do it if I have 3 bar to fadc, at least if it its blocked I’m not royally fucked and if it hits I’ll take a reset.
Oh and don’t forget a meaty low will avoid it completely, yeah basically just dont do it
Trying to get this fraps thing working, finally figured out how to get sound… lol
Youtube raped the video quality.
Anyways, I think it’s funny how I honestly used to think Counter-Ultra was impossible. Now though, it’s really really easy. I wouldn’t even say it’s difficult… just a weird motion. Dash Ultra after EX-palm is much harder IMO.
