Gouken Videos

hey frs …if your on xbl still add me…id like to play/chat w you someitme its been a minute

for myself i do constant jump ins to bring my ooponents closer in a deliberately unsafe fashion because i know my opponent will get a false sense of security and maybe their momentum could possibly work againt their responding attacks to a hard knock down …you have to give to get is my philosophy …i can see why he chose to do so…your ooponent thinks i got him on his ass…then ex flip to pain train or kongo fadc or whatever

I’m on psn… If you have a psn account you can add me whenever: Damn-u-got-OWNED
I’m down for a few matches. Gouken’s my secondary.

I’m getting an Xbox in about two months

UW, No that was not option-select he just baited him with low short then executed the move. There is another part where daigo plays ken, CHeck it out;)

Sure, Ill add you when I Get the 360;)

He seemed to want to stay away from Daigo and was trying his best to zone. Almost every attempt of his to jump was met with a srk.

I’ve never played anyone of Daigo’s caliber but I’m met with basically the same problem that guy has, I do great when I can keep them out but when they get in…

When he EX DF and grabbed Daigo when he had had him pressed in the corner I knew he would lose. The grab put him in the corner and he never bothered to Tatsu over Daigo after on the untech. Might have saved his life.

EDIT: Right at 2:30 in the vid he went from momentum to sealing his own fate.

Yup exactly. On the rare occasion that i’ll flip throw somebody in the corner (hoping for the stun, but sometimes not getting it) I tend to switch it up between flip slide and fj.airtatsu to get out. With the new minimal recovery on flip parry in ae, that might become the new standard get out move.

That’s where cross up instant air tatsu comes in handy, I hope its easier to do in AE.

I’ve been hit out of instant air tatsu trying to escape. I prefer a jumping forward, slightly higher air tatsu. So far it’s been less punished.

Here 2 matches against a 17.000 BP Dhalsim. Before those matches i won 7 matches in a row against him, which made me a lil happy.
This Player has actually AE expierence and he told me about it and Yun xD.

I have as well, but when I have been hit out of it was only a trade and even then it was in my favor. It probably can be beaten clean though.

Here are 3 matches against a 22.000 BP Boxer. He really rapes my ass off with Boxer. I also played with his Sakura 19.000 BP here he had no chance. Video will follow.

i enjoyed the boxer match, i find boxer a pain when they do lots of close range straights mixed with swing blows.

i took some serious beatings last night from a fei ryu and sagat, gonna post up the vids later i only got 3 wins out of like 15 matches, but fun games, maybe i could get some pointers from the regulars in here!

I might be in the minority here but you need to use a tad bit more kongoshin. I think I saw 2 in 6 matches. While there were some empty jumps there were not many empty jumps to throw attempts. I saw more then a few times people jumped fireballs and attacked cause they thought they had you hit, you could have kongoed there. Kongo in and of itself is a mindfuck. It’s 180 damage. That’s a lot. You can fadc to lp palm for another 120 if it is antiair or super cancel it. Obviously it can backfire on you but it’s best to make people scared with one or two first. Also against the Fei, he was cr. teching all day. Low kongo will stop that and make your throw game more effective.

I also didn’t see many angled fireballs at all. Watch the first time shine was in a tourney and you can see the value of angled fireballs.

Fundamentally you are better then me, but you also seemed way to eager to get in close and fight. It’s not right or wrong, but I struggle up close so I can do what I can to deal my damage from afar and then fight to get people away from me again.

Why rush in to fight when you can make them take significant damage to get in? Once they are in, if you are good at fighting up close with Gouken then even better for you, but no need to take away one of your strengths (zoning) if you don’t have to. If someone guesses wrong on an angled fireball you get the 50 damage off the ball and then the palm damage (120 to 140 dmg extra) and then can super if you have it to boot.

Just my opinion though.
