Gouken Videos

Ok, first off, I’m gonna TRY to remain neutral, or at least, see both sides of the situation. lol… I agree with RuLeZ on a couple things, in fact, I’ve gotten the chance to play against quite a few top Japanese players online, and I even won a few… I know Air isn’t Japanese, but when he was in Japan, I got the chance to play him, the connection was pretty poor, however, I really wanted to upload our matches, so when I was about to win a match vs him, I kinda lost it on purpose (I know that’s a bit extreme. lol) because I REALLY didn’t wanna upload a match of me beating a player who is obviously much much better than myself, and since he was kind enough to have these matches with me in a bad connection, when they’re used to an almost flawless in-Japan online connection.

Alright, on the other side, I can see how takin wanted to upload those Usa-Japan games, since it was cool beating Bullcat for some matches like that, I already told takin that Bullcat probably learned a couple new things (maybe) about Gouken, so some good probably came out of those matches.
On the other hand, which I’ve already said a few posts back, there’s no way possible that Bullcat was even close to the top of his game in that connection, since like I said, he’s used to Japan-Japan almost lagless connection, and even Japanese players don’t care for the Japan-Taiwan connection, so a Japan-Cali connection must have been very difficult for him, and like the Mullah said already, he probably rematched because of hard headedness or politeness (which is most likely the case)

takin, I already told you, I thought you did well, and I have really nothing bad to say about your style, since I’m not a Gouken main, I’m definitely not in a position to put any kind of critique of you, but I think that some people have replied in a half-negative way to the matches, is because you’ve referred to him (bullcat) as a “walk in the park” or "most of the people here could probably body him"
I think that’s kind of a ridiculous thing to say, since, well, I don’t really have to list Bullcat’s achievements vs the best of the best Japanese/Asian players… I think everyone in this forum knows of that already. lol.
With that being said, I’m subbed to your channel takin! lol, as RuLeZ mentioned already, I would really like to see some more matches vs top players in your region, and maybe some full sets vs those top players.

saw this, thought I throw it up here.

On a side note. Im on the west coast, Im pretty sure I’ve played against sunsun or mixxednutts or whatever. SOMEONE PLAY ME JESUS.
Gouken forums, there definitely aint no lack in gall. That’s for sure.

Takin: first off theres no hate from me, I’m just pointing out what is obvious.

First off, the bar indicator means nothing, we’ve all had green bar connections in the lobby and then in the actual match it’s a freezing mess. Also even playing someone 200 – 500 miles away will result in certain things (like blocking an empty jump crossup cr.lk on wakeup, or stand blocking a ¼ screen Blanka ball on reaction from a crouching position) impossible to do. That’s how it is when I play other European countries where I get a nice green bar, and when I play Japanese players it’s much, much worse obviously.

You can’t beat the physical distance between you and japan no matter how powerful your internet is. I’m sure your connection is great, and even vs Japanese players you have a perfectly stable connection. That would mean that doing one framer combos is no issue but it doesn’t mean that button latency isn’t an issue. That means you’re free to jump/flip with impunity. You don’t have magical internet that can compress 5000 miles, your packets do not travel faster than everyone elses, there will be lag, theres no roll back, there will be lots of lag.

We’ve all watched a boat load of bullcat videos since him and desora are the only 2 pros with many videos out. And its clear to anyone remotely familiar with his play that he was playing in cross global soup. And I’ve played enough laggy games to be able to tell when someone can’t deal with constant jumps/flips because of the connection. I can tell you the exact moment in the last 3 matches where he says “SCREW IT, I’m going to just keep jumping non stop to make a point to this guy that that’s all he’s doing and its impossible to react to in this connection”. If you guys don’t see that you’re in denial. And no disrespect here, you wouldn’t take the set offline, get real.

sometimes i wonder about my wins with really good players like
adnan

and fuddle.

im sure i just got lucky. everybody has their off and on days. none the less these matches were fun learning experiences and also tough.

sun, i like your use of jump tatsu. that is a part of my game i need to work on.

thanks. this was way before i started getting into using instant tatsu. now im just working on timing for that.

i’m a hater and a fanboy because i didn’t jump on your nuts and because i pointed out the obvious. lol, why can’t you see that nothing i say is ever personal or driven by any reason other than to give constructive criticism. when you post a series of matches in the most horrible connection and then beat your chest saying everyone here can body the best gouken player on earth you’re teaching them to follow your matchup techniques, which were only working because it was a horrible connection. yes you’ve made it clear that you didn’t notice the bad connection and to me that says more about your play than it does about the connection.

please stop complaining about not joining dojo sessions, if people from europe dont join its only because the connection would be so poor, your jumping/flipping style would be highly frustrating to play against, whereas in a good connection it would not be. i would accept your invite in a heartbeat if i was in the USA, currently it would be a waste of time. If i want to watch you play i’ll watch your youtube channel, not sit in the lobby not playing.

i realise i’ve been quite harsh but i think your vids are misleading and misinformative, sorry about that this will be my last post on the subject of those vids.

Nigga, shut the fuck up. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get the fuck over yourself. You got your panties in a bunch cuz a few heads aren’t praising you fora few matches? Most of the stuff posted in regards to your video were positive. Just prove the naysayers wrong by showing em’ up even more. You played well for what it’s worth, you kicked some knowledge to the kid now lets keep it moving. Post some other vids or something. To me it sounds like you want everybody to kiss your crystal zirconia ring. I told you before I would say If I had a problem with your posting, and I’m saying it right now. You’re shitting up this forum with your hubris, I’m not going to exalt you, and I’m not going to praise you since you’re getting too big for your britches and with every tear laced post of yours I respect you less. I would gladly come to dojo sessions with you to compare notes, but I’m on psn.

And you’re right, no one is infallible…especially with the latency of some 5000 miles of distance exacerbated by a shitty connection.

@ sumsum…liked the way you used the air hurricane kick against abel, i think what you should more is counter against him, and add neutral jump because of his grip… and when you knock him down, use more gf with OS, he doesn’t have any chance against the throw and late kick of the gf…ohhh against dalshim just rush him a little bit more…

brooo takin… i have a toon of stuff to tell you, maybe a lot of people doesn’t give you credict because your play style, they only see you jumping and jumping and more jumping, but that’s ok if you are fine with it…its because mainly the style of gouken is zoning and waiting for your opponent to make a mistake or something else… you dont see to many rush down gouken out there, and your style seems to be like a player that’s learning the game (dont misunderstand, im not saying that u dont know how to play), when u played bullcat, he was kind of lost and he was waiting and waiting maybe trying to read your game and he seems to play with a strategy, i dont know if you have one…
if that’s your style, and that’s how u like and enjoy to play amen thats YOUR GAME BROOO… but remenber when an opponent read your game it going to be difficult for you, so just have an ACE under your hand just in case…:nunchuck:

I started to record some of my saved replays again.
New ones on the move.

If I can get my easycap working again I’ll probably post some vids for a last hurrah, seeing as AE’s less than a week away.

80 something views isn’t a lot, and it certainly isn’t enough to warrant bitching over nobody commenting on them. Let them come in time, if they’re notworthy enough someone is bound to say something. Also, I aint fakin shit homie.

you aint black either…and if you are …cut your brown brother some slack mang …im just saying all anyone wants to comment on is the bullcat vids when theres other shit on there too…

all im saying is stay tuned…

fight the power…
we gotta fight the power that be…

Not sure how you can discern my race through posting, but I’m black as sin. Slack has been cut, I’m droppin this.

Alrighty…time to change subject before another flame war starts. Head on over to my youtube channel and tell me what you think of the ft5 I had with my buddy.
I’ll be posting match up vids, lab work and my tourney performances so check it out

@immort4l, well, i see a lot of stuff here, how you handle balrog and the mirror macth, but if u wanna win constantly i think you should upload your loses (and that goes to every one else here) so we can see your flaws and try to work on them… thats my tought…
